73 omega sub frame disc brakes with power steering, stock rear leafs with a 3" lowering block, I may have to dearch the rear springs but I will wait till the car is fully loaded.

Great project, I like the body work and the grille is going to be very nice.

You might want to rethink the lake pipes though. Especially the once you use for the mock up with the tree fake caps. Those never look good on any custom!
If you want lake pipes, go with simple one opening units... just my thoughts though.

I would definately go with singles. Those were on my kids 57 chev sled years ago and were laying in the lean to so being a bit of an impatient kid my self I did the old set em on a 2x4 mock up.:D

    Hey,

The build & that "Nailhead' look great, why mask all that top drawer metalwork with cartoon graphics? Few traditional '49-'51's ever ran flame jobs. You picked out wheels & tyres yet, or you rollin' the ''big girl butt'' radials?:D

Very nice. Will the buick exhaust manilds have enough room around the steering box or are headers necessary? Thanks

I tried to sqeeze in exhaust manifolds but the driver side was to tight, I could have moved the engine 1" off center but the drive shaft would have touched the exmember and I would have had to open up the frame slightly, I had the mandrel bends laying around from an other project that didn't happen so I put them to use.
