Been busy with a lot of things other than the car this week, but did manage to fabricate the corner piece of the door this morning. It's fairly time consuming as I had to make quite a few relief cuts to get the bends flowing, followed by welding and grinding.

Not only is your work first rate but the documentation of your build is second to none....I've only rarely seen any hamber show as much of the little nit-picky shit as you have and hopefully continue to do in the future.

It makes my day also when you answer questions or thank people because that means you do care about others and it isn't all about "look at me, look at me see what I can do!"

So keep up the good work and we will continue to live the dream with you!:)

Thank you Frankie47! I try to document the complete build of car for reference and so that other people can learn and/or question why or how I've done it. I believe treating others the way you want to be treated is all part of the spirit.

    And the dream continues.....:D:D:D

  8. I agree 110%. That's why I've enjoyed following this built so much.

Well said! Eric's "two way street" line of communication is what makes this a
Premier Build Thread; (not to mention his skills).

Hey Eric, I just got back to your thread and that car is so kick ass. you've come a long way with it. When do you think you'll have it finished?

Thanks Gary! The plan is to have the car finished next year, which I think is realistic if I continue at this steady pace.

Finished as in drivable and legal or finished as in painted, upholstered and driving? I think either way is realistic as well..

But that doesn't mean I'm not looking toward to seeing some shiny paint on that sexy thing. :D

Thanks TexasSpeed. The plan is to have the rolling chassis completely done and a painted body. It will be drivable. Whether or not the the interior will be completely done, is another question. Same old story, time and money. I want to complete the car without rushing it due to some deadline. Do it once and do it good.

Looking good there farmer12. What are your ideas on the interior? (maybe the question has been asked before but I couldn't find it)

Thanks Hogman! It has been asked a long time ago, but I'm happy to explain it to you. I would like to go with a light tan leather (something like the colour of the gauges) in an old school style. Carpet is probably going to be black....Here are a few pics which inspire me. I hope you get the general idea.

Still working on the doors Eric? I am going through withdraws and need my fix with pictures lol. What have you figured out with your electric window setup?

1959apache: Will be working on the doors in the coming weeks. With regards to the electric windows, I'm still not sure whether or not I should keep the vent window. There is a good support in there, which keeps the door fairly solid. Or I could just have a non opening vent window, which will keep the original style, just not functionable......

Are you concerned when you mash the loud pedal that your hemi will flex the door? To me a functioning wing window in these cars is a godsend......youv'e already eliminated your fresh air package and there isn't much ventilation without it.......2 windows down I get that, but passenger side wing window will send a steady stream across your body if properly aimed.:)

I eliminated the vent windows on my F-1 chop, didn't even get it out of the shop before I decided to put them back in. Just looks correct to me.
    Nice work by the way.

I suppose you're right. But the summers here in Holland are fairly short and never extremely warm.......I figured the two windows would give plenty of fresh air without getting too cold. We do get quite a few dry days here during the spring/summer, but keeping warm is probably going to be more of an issue than trying to cool the driver. If I were to live in the desert or some other hot place, yes, vent windows would become an absolute necessity if you didn't have airconditioning. Maybe I'll just create a non functioning vent window just too keep the feel of an old custom.
