Very special thanks to Earl Schieb for making me this awesome table. I had the table top in my head for a long time but thought he'd just do 4 legs. When we first started talking about the table I told him I couldn't decide whether I wanted it regular table height or the new bar/gathering height thats so popular now. He said he'd surprise me and surprise me he did! The table cranks up and down! That Earl Schieb dude is pretty clever. Thanks bud!

I'd also like to thank CobraJetSled for transporting the table from Bowling Green, KY to Livonia for me safe and sound. Really appreciate it!

and last but certainly not least a HUGE thanks to DustyOldBodyman for the FAB-U-LOUS pinstriping job! Holy smokes, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the detail. Your work was certainly a hit at the party last Saturday night. Thanks again sweetie!

Anyway, I just thought I would share a new piece of functional art that's been created by a couple of HAMB artist.

  2. Very cool table. Is it flat enough to really use as a table though?

Very Cool Dee. I was wondering where you were going to put the hood. Is there any way to put a piece of glass on it? You could also have some of that clear bra stuff put on it to protect that awesome Earl Schieb paint job.

It's got lots of clear on it. We used it all Saturday night with snacks and cocktails and such on it and not one scratch. I'm going to enjoy the table for what it is, being careful of course, but not neurotic.

If it does start looking well used after a time we can always sand and reclear.

It's completely flat except for the front edge. It's sits 8 comfortably. I'm in the process right now of making my own unique chairs to coordinate.

If anyone is ever in the area stop by and we'll have a meal at it.

  22. Got to meet Earl Schieb at Bonneville a couple of years ago (I think it was a couple lol), anyway, talk about a super nice laid back fella. And one hell of a painter too. Thats an awesome table, no way my honey would let me have something like that in the house though lol.

  23. Sensing a theme there.

Looks really nice. What's the make and model?

'60 Pontiac is all I know. The center strip is alittle concaved with a raised chrome piece down the middle.

  26. That's beautiful, Denise. And yes that does look like '60 Pontiac, in fact I believe it is bigger than it appears in the photos. Those were some loooong cars. Great work by some talented folks.
