thanks jay , yes its getting floorshift i always loved the look of a bench seat and floor shift in a 59 ,:D

lol when by brother was taking the 1st pic of me in the car, i was acting like a big kid making crazy motor sounds like a top fueler , then i had to refrain and come back to reality and remember that its going to have the classic buzzzzzzzz sound of a 6 , both my brother and i were rolling :):eek:

Nothing too exciting again this week , I'm still sanding ,sanding, and did I say sanding , i did get the new head all smoothed out and all the little stuff on the block done , managed to get some epoxy on the block. Also I changed something up on the hood that was kinda bothering me.
So It's top secret and you guys will just have to wait and see :D .

I could see sanding that wagon would take some time, but it will pay off in the end....Jim

It may seem like nothing big to you but block sanding is a big step in my mind. I can't wait until I get to that point in my Model A build. Probably having to do with setting it up for some primer and finally being able to see your car entirely in one color after laying the primer down. You're getting there for sure. Great work.

  10. I'd say that blocking is the most important step , yet real boring and time consuming. But it will make or break the final product so stay at it. Having done a 62' and a 66' Belair wagon I know what your up against. All that sanding should give you a cheap excuse to have a cold one so you don't dehydrate!!!

Thanks , Well not for my self in particular but if some one has the time and money ill build another one ,

yah your 100%correct , so far the hood has been the most difficult, but its getting there, also with all this sanding im getting some great biceps :D

A ton of stuff. It's a very different kind of coupster build though. I haven't seen anyone do what I'm doing to it. So far, I've cut the entire back edge of the cockpit opening and moved it forward 7 inches for roadster like dimensions only with longer doors. I've narrowed the A-post and the door so it's slimmer and sectioned the upper gas tank/cowl brace. I sectioned half an inch in between the body lines on the door so it'll throw people off and I'm going to continue the body line around the back of the cockpit. There's a lot more but I don't want to hijack your thread like I'm already doing right now.

The build thread is in my signature under "Project Mattitude."

looks awesome man! i love it, cant wait to get mine to that stage. idk if i missed it but what size/brand tires are you running ? guessing silver town rubber with the fat whitewalls maybe a 235/75?. I have 15" rally wheels with police caps and want some of those fat whitewalls. Thanks
