Probably the worst "roof" mod I've ever seen. Jesus, if you cant do it right (or at least make it right) then dont try it at all. That was just atrocious.

I think I speak for us all when I say hell yes we want to see more pics! This thread wouldn't be 140 pages long if we didn't want to see the pics! '33-'34's are some of my favorites.

 

Missed it by a year. But is there really any difference between the '37's and '38's?

Found in the woods years ago and traded it off. Understand the roof is on a vintage dirt car in Florida now.

 

A few from a boneyard I visited a couple of years ago...

 

Really bad or not, I still could use it, I have 3 good cowels, 2 nice doors, a set of nice fenders, a decklid, some bracking a floor section with rockers and some of the lower sections from a car that was on its roof for I think all of its life LOL, so like I said I just need some crumbs and I can see those crumbs there! LOL. Jim

Don't give up on the "It's not for sale" line... I stalked a '32 5 window for years sitting in
an old man's yard. Talked with the neighbor, and he said that old guy would put a gun in
my face and tell me to leave. He wouldn't sell anything to anyone! I gave up for a while..
Come back by, six months later, and half the place is gone! I stop, and approach a
younger guy there, and turns out it is his son. The old man was in the hospital, and
the son was selling everything.. I asked about the 32 that I had wanted for about 3-4
years, and he goes, "Oh yeah, that was my dad's old '32 dirt track car. I sold it two
weeks ago for $200 bucks.." I about had a heart attack. Then he threw salt on the
wound by telling me that the guy that bought it, came to buy a van for scrap, and
wasn't even interested in the coupe. He just threw it in, to get rid of it. And he was
planning on hauling it all to Oklahoma for scrap.. That was a day I won't forget for a
long time.. Missed her by two weeks, after 3+ years...

 

I hope you threw the salt back at him telling him how much it was probably worth!
