^^another weber intake. Webers were used by alot of USRRC and Can-Am teams in '66-'67, but then there werent many BB cars running Can-Am in those years either...

Blue Thunder still makes them for the FE engines - here's an EFI setup for an FE....

  5. Jim Hall's Chaparrals used big block engines in late 1966 and 1967. Initially with 58 mm Rochester "Weber copies" and later with a Kinsler designed fuel injection system. Chaparral was GMs "unofficial" racing arm, and built their own engines (or GM built them, depending on who you believe). Hall was partners with a guy named Hap Sharp...although that may have nothing to do with the manifold. Many lesser funded Can-Am teams still ran carbs on into 1969.

Is that Kinser setup (red stacks) yours? I'm 95% sure that was mine, if it is let me know and i'll tell you the back story (i still have the orginal motor it came off of).

This one as I said was a spare for Mickey Thompson and was a mechanical fuel injection unit.

Maybe it's just me but there's a whole lot of bolt holes missing for it to be Big Block Chevy. There's 16 bolts that mount the manifold to the heads on a BBC, on these I see about half that.

Sorry but from the photos provided wouldn't they end up in the throat for the carb/injector and if so i just didn't see any holes there.

We were talking about the main intake itself.... Do half of the bolts mount on the inside of your BBC intake???

I had some of those injectors that are made to bolt to a Weber manifold. THJ or something like that. Have idle circuits and all. I believe Hilborn also made throttle bodies to bolt to the Weber mount. Not rare at all.

The point isnt whether there are throttle bodies that will bolt to a weber or just about any other carb bolt-pattern you name. There are. The point is, as you have stated in your post, this is a weber intake. Which it is.

  26. Telcalamit-Jackson, Rich? They did a lot of those Weber manifold conversions for small-block Fords, I believe.

Nope, no holes in there... Lots of sealant and a short prayer, I think.:D

Injector pockets go in the throttle body barrels and run on the inside for better fuel distribution:

TWM throttle bodies - these are the ones used by both Roush and Inglese formerly out of Goleta CA but now in Johnson City TN having been acquired by Borla.

  30. Weasel, aren't those slide throttles on your Weslake heads (under the FI adaptors)? Damn...I gotta clean the drool out of my keyboard every time you post a picture of that thing.

I hope those heads worked better than the ones on Surtees big-block...
