Yep the 1" header as stated above is a must for the windshield to line up nicely with the side windows!! Plus you get maximum windshield opening!!

Purchase a Stoplight viewer for the dash too!! :D

Do you have enough caster on the axle? Almost looks straight up?

Yeah the only problem with the 1" header is my frame is already cut
    Oh well it will work.

My axle is currently dangling in the crossmember. i just hung it to get a visual. So it appears I have no caster LOL

Looking very good, like everyone else, you might want to rethink the header deal but you're doing a great job.:)

I am inclined to agree. Having the top of the windshield gl***, and the top of the door gl*** match in height (or as close as possible) improves the look greatly, on T's and the '28-'29 A CC/PU's.

Well guys it's been a few days, since an update, I got my 40 Model rear end into the shop, Flipped the spring perch to the front, and attached the model A spring I am going to use. I got it bolted under the car jus to get an idea of how much to Z the rear, and since I am using a 40 Model rear end with the spring perches flipped to the front I am in the middle of shortening and Z-ing the frame.

Interesting way to spread the spring... I wasn't that smart and just kept taking the spring pack apart and putting it back together!! :D

LOL!!! I only knew about that method from my dad telling me how my grandfather used to change springs in the garage in the mid 1950"s with a chain and a jack:D

Good work buddy...I like the stance. Do you have a straight on side picture of it by chance? The top is chopped about perfect for the was the ch***is sits. IMO

I have been test fitting things this morning. I was impressed the door skin fits like a glove. After hearing about Howells sheet metal. Got the tank and radiator mocked up.

Well after much consideration. I decided to take the advise and use 1x1 tubing for the windshield header panel. So I bought another windshield frame too. Should have some more pics up in a few days.

That's an awesome looking car. I love the stance. I think the open top looks best, but that's just me. Aaron Kahan's (Burbank Choppers) coupe has always been my favorite T coupes. I think it makes it look more of a kind of "bare bones" hot rod if you will. Closed tops look great too... more finished I guess

Closed if the car is close to finished. I had thought about doing a roof panel for mine out of blue plexi-gl*** but decided it was not worth the effort

I personally like closed top since I like to drive mine. If i want an open top then I run the T bucket. Just my thinking. That thing looks really good sitting outside. That is one of the best stances IMO.

Chad, go with a stock style top - but make it tuck n roll. Maybe two colors.

  29. Maybe you can keep it open until you get tired of that then close it. OR, get creative and have a roll/slide back top so you can have it both ways !
