Thanks CHOPPED '46. I received two copies from them. One went straight in my cupboard and the other to show friends and family. It certainly gave some an insight to what I've been doing the last two years.

Funny you should mention that......just returned from the hospital to get some metal splinters removed from both eyes. After the last post of the window molding, I decided to get rid of a few small welds left on the inside with the Dremel.......and wore no glasses....very smart, I know. All is ok now, the eyes are recovering well. It was a serious case of blood, sweat, tears and metal splinters in the eyes. (and yes, I've learned my lesson.;);))

Thanks guys! I know it was stupid, just wasn't thinking straight. Even the father in law just called to give the old preach. I got what I deserve I suppose. On a lighter note, going back in the garage next week and hope to show some decent progress.(with a complete medieval harnas on:D:D:D)

Jeeze! I learned my lesson with those tiny splinters in my hands. (I finally figured welding gloves will not allow them through the material!) I can't even imagine those little things in my eyes. Hope you get better. I have a set of aviation earmuffs, welding gloves, and huge safety glasses when I use my Dremel.... people laugh, but it works.

    Eric,

You have been on the HAMB all day and night, EVERY thread I have been in I have been like minutes behind you and you have posted. I take it you are taking a couple of sick days and are getting addicted to the HAMB even more.:D:D:D

Hahahaha, the addiction started a looooong time ago. I do leave my computer on most of the time, so this way it may look like I'm on here 24/7, but that's not so. Really. I've got holidays at the moment, so the sick days are just a waste of my own time.

Thanks Hennie! The plans are certainly to have the car rolling by the time summer comes but there is still a lot of work to be done. I'm going to try my best. (without rushing)

I've been doing this build thread for 20 months now, 2000 posts and more than 220,000 views later, the car has gone through quite a few changes to say the least. Pics are in chronological order. Sometimes you just need to sit back and look back at what you've done, instead of thinking about what still has to done......

So it's being held in Vammala? It's only a good 2 hours drive from Helsinki. Sounds like fun, I'll see what I can do!

You nailed it right on the head. Its easy to get so caught up in making progress, overcoming the next obstacle etc that what has actually been accomplished gets forgotten. Then you stop, look back and say "Holy shit, who did all that?" and dive right back in. I went back to where I found your thread a year ago and looked over all you've done since then. Makes me feel like I was right there. I guess in a sense we all were. :D

Apart from me wanting a finished car in the end, it's you guys that also create a certain motivation with all the suggestions and positive comments. Thank you all for that!

your welcome and hope your eye's are feeling better. I used to get steel shot in my eye's when I blasted for the last company I worked for, not fun at all.

It looks like we have similar tastes in rear suspension.

Certainly looks like we got great taste! :D Just a question, why did you angle the bags/shocks?

When I talked to the guys at Ride Tech they told me that setting the shocks at a 20° angle would help with the handling. It may eliminate the need for an anti sway bar in the rear. We'll see. I did get the internal height sensor shocks front and rear. Master series, single adjustable.

Is your triangulated 4 link the universal one from Ride Tech? I don't remember if you stated that or not earlier in the thread.

Conitnuing on with the window garnish. A lot of cutting and welding. Had to splice the last piece in order to get the right curvature. I guess another couple of hours tomorrow and she'll be done! So next time someone says it takes a day to chop a window garnish, I believe them!:D

You may have stated this already in a prior post Eric, but with all your great work and attention to detail. I was wondering if you are planning on doing your paint job on it yourself..?
I would love to be able to paint my own car someday, but I just don't have the space in my garage for it. There are a couple of guys here in town that will rent they're paint booths out, but its costly..so you have to have the car completely prept and ready to shoot to keep the $$ down.
