A fellow HAMBer, "DG" is selling a '47 International pickup. I tried to post this photoshopped version of another Binder on his thread in order to maybe help him sell the truck, but it wouldn't post, so I'm sticking it on this thread. Anyone interested check out "1947 International truck". I think a truck like this could be a pretty cool hotrod. Eli

    Are the rear fenders backwards?

No, its an optical illusion. The real fenders are kinda weird shaped, more rounded than Ford or Chevy fenders. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. lol I might try to fix that.

    Here is my version:
Green and gold with purple and white fogging.
And some extra Edsel trim and those very cool Edsel tri-bar hubcaps.

Thanks, I was keeping gold accents in the back of my mind, but thought two-tone would be neater. The Ranchero in the back ground had purple ribbons airbrushed on it when I got it; that was too traumatic to ever look at purple again. Haha. And yes, Edsel spinners. Too bad they're hella expensive.

Yeah, I guess I did get a little carried away.

Sometimes when I start photochopping a custom car, the design takes on a life of its own and the result is not exactly what the owner requested.
This one a good case in point.

Good thing I'm not a tattoo artist! :D

A plausible (but bogus) story for a Corvair redesign.

It's 1964 and Chevrolet wants a boost for the first generation Corvair's last year. Chevy brass calls on Pininfarina in Italy for a quick facelift for the upcoming show circuit.

"Give it a fresh European look, but keep some GM design cues, please."

    Here's what they got.

Is there anyone out there that would like to take this paint scheme and apply it to our 4door for us? (In black/white)

    We would really appreciate it.

We were pretty set on going with a solid color for our '51 but after seeing this two tone (that I believe belongs to another HAMBER) I can't help but think I would like that on ours but in black/white...
Thanks a bunch for any takers we appreciate what you do. Larry/Lauren

Here's a quick shot. Be careful with black and white, though. Sometimes the result looks like a police car!

Can you change the color on my Catalina??? Make it black and then make it Candy apple red????

I'm thinking of keeping it white but wanted to see what the other colors may look like.

    Thank you. Mark L

  19. Hey PS magicians>]
Would you please photoshop The coe below???
I want it to have an f1 bed with the f1 rear fenders but I want to keep the top of the rear fenders at the same level of the front fenders,So I will section/extend the lower part of the rear fenders and/or lower the wheel well.
Also would you close the wheel well opening in the coe front fenders?
and the whole thing painted in red oxide?

Here is my take. I just realized that you had asked to keep the tops of
the fenders level. I'm not sure that would be possible using the current size wheels and tires. When I added the rear section, I extended to F1 fenders up to cover the tire. It's a guesstimate, really.

My ability to change/match colors is somewhat limited by my old software (and my skills!). So the front and and the back don't really match, color-wise. Sorry.

  22. Wow man thanks. i dont plan to use those wheels but its the only picture i have witb a good profile shot of a coe. i am running 16 wheels with 225 tires .that gives me a good idea tho

  23. Crappy pic I know, but I kinda wanna see what this would look like with econoline headlight surrounds and the hood modified so it flows better with the front....Thanks!

I was at a car show once and spotted a truck like yours. I spent a half-hour mentally redesigning the front for a more integrated style.

This model always looked like three different designers worked on the front without consulting each other; nothing quite matches. But that's where a little customizing can unify the design.

I started by closing up the "nostrils" in the hood center. Then I extended the lip of the hood so it was even on the bottom.

The lower pan was smoothed, too.

First pic is with the standard '60s Econoline headlight and surround. I think that makes it too wide-eyed. So I tried dual headlamps and that works better.

I have a few more ideas I's like to try when I have time.

Not sure what to ask for here, I am thinking silver or maybe some other more interesting color. The wheels steel with dog dish and maybe trim rings, widen the rear wheels. Maybe a shorter profile front tire and lower it a couple inches. This is maybe a good profile pic.

Maybe this is better, I'm not sure

I have one of it all in primer, but the doors are not on so let me know if I need to do better in the pic department.

If you have any ideas that might be cool I'm game for that as well.

Thanks a TON!!! I'm getting close to having it ready for paint, finally!

  26. I dig it man! And I look forward to your other ideas..thanks

    53Olds,
I hope you don't mind, but I grabbed a photo of another F100 off the Internet. The angle and shade are better to show you what I am thinking.

I started as before by filling the nostrils and evening up the bottom edge of the hood. Then I added a 1960-or-so GMC grille bar. Similar to the Ford item, but simpler. This truck cleans up nicely!

Will continue with mods as I have time.

I was wondering if `61 Tbird parts would work. Some of the shapes appear similar.
