Looks like an International pickup bread to a Cadillac

2. Just came across your thread and was having fun reading the suggestions. Although I skimmed all the pages, I haven't read every comment; so if I've swiped someones ideas I apologize in advance!

This is much easier to do in photoshop than in your shop :D , but my approach was to widen the Caddy rear and mould it to the cab creating a unibody. I like it one colour, lowered even more - and I added some junk-yard bumpers.. There's other stuff going on too, like extended front fender "strake", a new tail-light in the fin - and I closed the hood.. ;)

Easy-peasy!! Ha, ha!

Yeppers exactly where I am at. i just came in from measuring the roof and chalking it out. Looks like we will take the windshield down another inch and leave the door windows alone. The front of the roof will 3" and the back between 4-5". Depends on what happens when we start cutting.

You are a resilient son of a gun. I would have already put the "dukes of hazard " on that mother. That is when a friend and me get a cheap or free car (never a collectible mostly jelly beans) and drive and jump it in his field until it quits. I am just not getting this CUSTOM. And believe boys I get custom; just not this.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

The first thing you need to do is lower it then put some steel rims with cleaner whitewalls

i think it's great what your doing with the truck. keep up the good work and give that thing the life it deserves. nobody can see the "vision" in every custom build. if they say it's not a real custom because it doesn't fit their criteria; then they just don't get it. that's fine and well. good luck.

If you take the high crown out of the roof it would look much better. Actually, if that had been built during the 60's by Ed Roth or Joe Bailon it would now be considered a famous old custom. It would be neat if you could post some front and rear pics too.

After looking at that little 36 Binder on the cover or Hot Rod I thought about taking off the fenders front and back.
Then thought about leaving the back and changing the front to open wheel. What I am thinking now is hunting down a 42ish Chevy truck grill and sectioning it to fit.
We'll see what lands in my lap and go from there. After all its only steel and I am only in to it including paint, a blown SBC and wheels/tires about $1200.00

It has lots of potential, I would try and build it back into an IH truck but thats just me. I wouldent have a clue what else to do to it other than your original Idear :)

Definitely different,....But then, isn't that why cars , trucks have been customized in the first place ? I have seen uglier..... If the wheel openings and wheels matched up, it would be 100% improvement. In case I missed it, what is under the hood ? DRIVE IT !!!!!!!!
