    Cool car, ‘Remover. May I ask: How tall are you? And how much difficulty (if any) do you have operating a conventional clutch, brake, and accelerator in the confines of the Improved Car cockpit?

    This one reminds me of an exchange I just had on MTFCA.com about putting a V8-60 block on a T pan and running it through the planetary. Sort of as if the Gentry-Ford V8 had gone somewhere.

    I am building a 23 T Bucket. I dont have any pics. I hope to have it done soon so i can start driveing it.

    I am only 5' 7 but my father is over 6 ' and drove it with no complaint's that I can remember.I have no problems with driving her,and even if I did, the car is just a blast to drive, it would make it all worth it

    That's Bierman's T-bag. We did the engine and Brian Fox did the chassis, it's in his driveway in your pic. 392 Hemi and a 4 speed, cool. Here's a newer pic

    Here's my beater 20 roadster. Constantly changing something, but I drive it all summer, 5000 miles last summer and lots of sunburn.

    What are the drive shaft angles like and does the diff point up or down to line up with the tranny etc.
    This aspect has always had me puzzled???

    The frame is normal, straight, whatever you want to call it, and the body is channeled over the frame at the front. The floor in the car is flat with the frame, so on the inside the floor it attached about 7 or 8 inches up on the firewall. The small Gurney bubble on the cowl is for the clutch linkage, and he had to run the windshield glass all the way to the top so you can see out of it while driving.

  14. Love the look of Bierman's Bagged T. The forward slant reminds me of Uncertain-T, Stoner's (Conder built) T. Thanks for posting these up!

    Been gathering parts for a '27 T touring. Have an all steel body and an '88 Jag V-12 for it. Unfortunately broke my back 4 years ago and am having a lot of problems with that so may never get the car built. Saving it right now as a dream.

    That yellow roadster belongs to a HAMBer in the UK I believe. Hand built body IIRC.
     
  27. Just posted this as its own thread and thought I'd post it here as well:

    I'm doing some Tall T research and need help from some old school HAMBers who attended Paso back in the day.

    I have three questions regarding Mercury Charlie's Original Tall T.

    1. What year was it that Mercury Charlie premiered his car at Paso?

    2. If you were there, how many other T's attended that event?

    3. How many T's appeared the next year @ Paso?

    What I'm trying to determine is who started the Model T resurgence. Was Charlie's car pivotal in kick-starting the trend? Plus, I'd love to know if anyone has shots of his car or saw coverage of it in themags. As some of you may know, I have Charlie building me one of his custom Zee frames for my own tall T. It will have the same stance as his original but won't be, in the word of Charlie himself, "thrown together in thirty days to be a safe daily driver".

    I'm just getting started on a 26 Tudor Sedan. Going to do it with full fenders, etc. no chopping, etc. New chassis is being built now and looking for motor, etc. Will post some pics when I figure out how to do it.
