    Yeah no shit! hahaha
Patience kept the slits nice, straight and clean. And when that didn't work, the thought of replacing a 500.00 + deck lid worked. :)

Guess i should keep switching left to right then! haha

Thats hysterical! I always thought WNY ventilation was rot!

Thanks guys, and Andy, thanks for the idea!

I seriously think one of us (you :D)should do a tech thread on them for the next tech week..it's as home brewed as they come and works!!

    Tony,
Ya know, it's really nice down here this time of year. You're way ahead on this project. You should take some time off and come down here for vacation.

My garage is warm. My car is waiting....

All jokes aside, you are FLYING on this build, and doing a KILLER job in the process.

Yessir it does. I didn't bother posting that. Kinda think my updates are getting boring to most..

I shot the etch primer right before xmas. Got the body, doors and all 4 pieces of the hood sealed up.

As of tonight, the trunk lid is just about ready to go together. The inner structure is repaired, and por-15'd on the inside, and the skin is repaired and that too is coated with por-15 on the inside.still need to etch prime them.
I can't wait to mate the two back together..
I also combined some parts i had and made up my tail lights too. just have to polish the lenses and they are done

    Tony,
Good call on painting the inside of the deck lid before welding them back together.
I didn't realize that until after it was painted, and could see the primer through the louvers. Back to square one.

    Thanks Andy!
I appreciate all the interest guys. Help's keeping me working on it..:)

So today i did a little mock up of the grill and hood. Nothing is lined up yet but i wanted to get an overall with the chop. Looks goofy as hell without axles under it...like a hover deuce..
I'm not used to owning something like this with a hood so this is REALLY different for me!!
I like it, but still like it a bit more without..good thing it's not hard to remove once it's done. I know it'll be on and off a lot.....if the motor clears to begin with. haha
