I'll never claim to be the best - but I do a lot, and have spent a lifetime collecting tools to help me out.

Here's a couple of mine - a homebuilt tub body, a RPU drag car body and chassis (a little battle scarred now), and a customized '46 truck

Not just on the hamb, but creating hamb-worthy pieces!

How about our buddy Zach Suhr? Hope he doesn't mind me lifting these pics off his facebook page...

There are a ton of them, ElPolacko always impresses me with his frames and tool fabrication, he shapes some heavy metal to his will. The there is always Cole. Jim Sibley. Da Tinman. And a whole lot more...

Alex- (Metalshapes) on here comes to mind obviously. As well as Steve (ElPolacko) and Jim Sibley.

There's so many it's hard to keep track. Now who has no business shaping metal? Well that's easy. Jeffrey James. :D

Tough question.. there is so much talent on the HAMB, I am impressed every day by many HAMBers.. Lots of deserving folks will be missed by this list.. Kinda like asking who's the prettiest woman.

Whether it be steel or aluminum, Chris Davenport (Salt Flats Speed Shop) is one of the great metal shapers. But, as said, there are a LOT of great ones out there!

My thoughts exactly, I see some of the projects and work these guys do and it amazes me . How they can bend and form steel and mke it look so good . I love the chevy with the merc nose on it. That just blew me away how well he got it to fit without filler. I would have had 5 gallons of bondo in that

    Damn geriatric memory...

He's a Brit, his name's David Gardiner, www.metalshapingzone.com, his avatar is a driver's side rear 3/4 view of a full fendered '34 three window in bare metal that he's built, I can't remember his screen name here. I bought his DVD a year ago, worthwhile investment for an amateur would-be panel beater like me. He does great stuff with an english wheel and power hammers, but also with minimal hand tools.

Bass gets my vote, not just for the metal finishing/shaping/fabricating, but mostly for the vision to make the form/function perfect.

to me Bass, has "the eye".
not to say others might have better skills, they might, but Brian subttly improves the OG ford designs.

and frames... both he and elpackoloco... are awesome!!!

I just had my RPU firewall recessed by Paul Wright. Great work and very interesting guy. He's near Austin and only does "word of mouth" work but he is specially good on small repairs, reproducing old panels on traditional rods and small one-off fab stuff. He's built a fine '32 coupe from about 6 different body remains.

Find him at IrishPol on here. But don't bother if your car is not old school.
