im going to be buying some smoothies or chrome reverse soon who has the best prices ? does anyone offer a wheel tire combo ? does anyone in the dfw area or east tx sell them ? thanks
Be careful choosing your wheels on best price. You will very much get what you pay for. Even if you pay a little, or a lot more, you still might be dissatisfied. Look up H.A.M.B.E.R. wheelkid. He's at http://www.rallyamerica.com/ They are the real-deal, and will NOT steer you wrong.
Yep,still waiting for mine..cars is on jacket stands. Can't wait till I get them in my hot little hands.
im on a tight budget ?? the wheels on rallyamerica are kinda high compared to summit are they that much better ?
Yes. The wheels at Summit are made overseas, and as I have observed, have run-out (i.e. they are NOT ROUND) issues. Those and the ones from Wheel Vintiques have trouble taking and holding covers, even the ones sold to fit them (especially Vintiques ones). Save up. It still will be cheaper than being pissed off, and buying twice.
H i Body man, I bought chrome reverse wheels from Summit. I talked to Weel vintiques first and they told me what to order so i got what i wanted. they told me 2 weeks to build and 1 to 1 1/2 weeks to ship, they were 2 weeks late. I got what i wanted and am happy with the wheels. the chrome isn't as good as the old chrome reverse i have from the '60's- 70's. but i'm shure thats the case with all chrome in 2011
WOW did you see the thread that started because of my comment above???? It's already deleated.....i was brief and so, I believe the wheels i bought from Summit were USA made. i paid $342 for 2 weels not cheap! the chrome on them doesn't look like it was "hand buffed between coats??" vs. the 2 14 inch wheels i have on the front of my model A that are from the early '70's i bought used and had on my '66 olds f-85 in 1973. the chrome on these wheels is great x-cept a couple rust pops. but... i'm useing them anyway because i've had these for 39 years. inside there is a tag that reads KEYSONE WHEELS!! made in argentina
i seen the thread, i thought the wheels on summit were made in america to ? im sure alot of others have bought them from summit maybe someone else will chime in on them being made in america or not ?
