After some minor cowl repair work i installed the nose that i purchased at the Hot Rod Reunion last year. The rear fenders are from a 1938 sedan that i had years ago.
There was so much damage to the back of the sedan floor pan that i decided to replace it. I had a set of dies made for my bead roller so that i could replicate the design. I need to repair the areas around the rear fenders where they bolt on. I will be doing this soon. After that i will have to wait for my trunk lid before i can go any further. I need it so that i can properly line up the new tail pan. Randy Ferguson is making these parts for me. Progress will slow down for a few weeks as i wait for the parts and recovery from hand surgery. I will keep you posted.
I thought I was the only one who loved my car so much that I talk to it....and patted it gently....R~R
I'm hitching a ride on this build! Very cool find and great work so far!! I love the old race cars and the history/engineering that goes with them. I used to help the current owner of the old "Will's Fargo" altered that was driven by Bill Kydd in Ontario Canada. Hearing the old stories from folks that knew these old cars is awesome!! Bill
Great work! If you have never delt with Randy before for metal, you will be pleased. He did a few body sheetmetal parts for me including the coupe trunk. It is stunning. Good luck although I dont think you need it.
Thank you Bobwop. Yeah we kind of like them. I was talking with Poverty Flats on the phone lastnight. What a nice guy he is.
Hello Larry & Wanda, Happy New Year to you both, progress looks great on the coupe. Keep us posted with more pics. Ken,
It's almost a Mystical experience to find and redeem a lost soul like that Willys. Like a reinCARnation. I am sure you will do it justice.

It amazes me what people can still find out there. Love watching people splice and dice car bodys! Great find; great work...subscribed!
Holy chit man, this is in the right hands, how exciting. Man those yesteryear pix up with that 57 Ford bad *** g***er, then the back bumper wheelie is goose bump stuff. Thanx for sharing this miracle save!! Never met a Willys I didn't like. ~sololobo~
