  1. "nice ride" unless you are driving it daily and are use to something with heat, pwr steering, pwr brakes, independent front suspension, radio, decent wipers, etc...

    I love that!

My family is so sick of people putting GM drivelines in everything and acting like it's better that way... we've been joking about putting a Ford 460 in my 59 Suburban Limo with valve cover adapters to run 454 covers just to mess with people!

I wish there was more to choose from in the world of 19.5 inch tires, but the rims are OE and won't part them from the truck.

I thought that 19.5 tires came out in the 70's?

Is that a 66 with an older box or a 61 with a 66 grill?

It's a nice truck, the larger diameter wheels suit it!

  17. 17.5 and 19.5 wheels were optional (on 3/4 tons) starting in '57.....

    All 4x4's '61-'66 (except '66 F100) had the earlier style bed. I have a '62 F100 4x4 that I switched to the later bed.....

  20. I think those 66 f100s are
Hit or miss but I'd say you totally nailed it on that one! Have you ever
Considered chrome reverse steelies or Astros?

When I got the truck, the front clip off a Camaro had been welded to the chassis, so I replaced the 307 with a 350 stroker.

Ideally, I'd like a hemi in there, but she runs sweet.

Chev and Oldsmodile trucks shared the same cab and guards (fenders) but had different hoods and grills from '36 to '38 here in Australia.
