Imagine going to your final rest in an Edsel waambulance! :D

    From JustaCarGuy, via SteamPunkVehicles. Like
the earlier DeSoto ambulances, Memphian built
this from a 4DS, not a station wagon, as Amble-
Wagon would have built it. BTW, from all the
clues in the photo, I do think this is a "vintage"
    pic.

This car was most likely rebuilt at a local company here in Sweden!
It is hard to say which since we had many company's that rebuilt cars for for the state or civil service other company!

I went, also, and search for pix. I thin this was a '52 because of the faux hood scoop and the 2-pc. windscreen. Seems, '53 they went to one-piece to keep up with Hudson and others.

I don'yt think the '51 had the hood scoop, instead last year for Hernando's face in a hood ornament.

Hell, I could be wrong, but it's fun to hash these things around with HAMBers! Thanks -- J.

The pic with the two Camaros is a scene from "Bewitched"....the ladies are at a meeting...they all go out to the parking lot and get into the Camaros...an Impala SS conv...and some other 69 Chevy muscle cars...and drive off. I'll try and find a link to the video.

Right on, bro. That made me think hard and go and compare lots of photos! Those last Keller-Era DeSotos are not well liked generally, except for their grilles for customs, of course.

I like the post-war carryover models, but the next two series were pretty much librarian/Cunnigham cars, IMO. :D

    Many thanks.
