My oldest son is Bentley middle is James James was a coach builder for Bentley & Rolls Royce plus both grand fathers first name was James so it worked out, he likes being named after a prestigious car.

I don't know, maybe I'm old-fashioned and traditional, but i think you gotta be pretty shallow to name your kid after a car or car parts. How'd you feel if your dad was into fishing and named you Rod or Pole or Reel?

I did know two different guys named Mike Hunt in the past though.

    My brothers daughters:

    Jane Mercer
    Molly Napier
    Anna Morgan

My wife decided to name our kids after pens (which I collected at the time):

    Eleanor Eversharp
    Isabelle Parker

Middle names are pretty harmless, easy enough to ignore.

I went to HS with a Micheal Hunt. That Hunt tree must have a whacked sense of humor. Place would roll every time they called him to the office over the PA. Had one teacher send him to the office, first day, taking roll, thought he was jerkin' him.

No car part names here though.

Got a son named Lincoln Wray. Partly for the cars and partly for the mighty Link Wray. Not many people get the Wray reference though.

When our oldest White Shepherd was a pup, he was 'helping' my wife and I look for a lost gravel colored lug nut in our gravel driveway; about the time we gave up he came out from under our Blazer with the missing lug nut. Right then and there she named him Hotrod. A couple years later we got another White Shepherd (one of Hotrod's female cousins) and I named her Ellie ("Miss Eleanor" from "60 Seconds.") They're the only 'kids' we have still living at home and the fastest things on four paws around here.

Not at all H.A.M.B friendly, but my 3rd is named Carina after my favorite vehicle from when I lived in Japan. Almost 20 years later and I still miss that car.

Much nicer than the Nissan Prarie Joy.

When my daughter entered 1st grade, there was a boy in her class with the name of "Chevy Dude". I don't know what became of him, but he would now be around 35 years old. I'll bet that the name isn't as cute as it was when he was just a little guy.
