I am looking for gasser pics of 1927-1932 Ford 5 window coupes and/or tudor sedans. I had seen a couple pictures of one from the Michigan Billetproof show. Any other pics besides those?

  3. What era ? probably get more response if you ask for altered pics of those models, at first the A-34 cpes /rdstrs were gassers then they were pushed into the A/ltered, S-treetRdstr/, CompCpe/ classes, then as we all know into the brackets and they dissapeared :( theres a few on my site/page http://groups.msn.com/gassers in the pictures section

I am not sure of the different classes they had, but I am looking to styles from the early 60s hot rod magazines, I think A/Altered. I like the nose bleed stance

I was under the assumption that GAssers were coupes only, not roadsters, is this true?

Cant listen to well to the text in the message...I am familiar with that page but I am looking for early hot rods too, not just the professionally built pieces on that site. But the style like that in my first posting and the one you linked to

    Yes, that's true.

I realize that younger guys (and some older guys) aren't familiar with the classes that were run in the early days. And "Gasser" is probably the most bastardized term on this board. It would be helpful if, when asking about race car styles, the person asking could at least post a picture of what they have in mind. Or, tell us the whole story in the first post...

It's not hard to find a picture on the internet, and I certainly don't mind helping someone who wants to learn - but do a little research on your own, and give us something to go on - please? I've been thinking of posting a "primer" of old race classes with some pictures to help the younger guys out. Maybe I should do it soon...

This is the one in my garage, being built.

I went to that site some time ago, and there seemed to be alot of NHRA type cars on it. But as I see from the pics I am wrong. BUT look at my original post, that is the style I am looking for. Also the pics submitted so far too

I have just brought a 1926 Ford T Coupe and i am thinking about making it into a Gasser.
Does anyone have any photo's of ones that have been previously done?

I also have a steel 41 Willys Coupe that i am in the process of making into a Hemi powered Gasser.

Best thing to do is read the stuff on gasser madness site, it will quickly educate you on whats a gasser and whats not.
