I am looking for gasser pics of 1927-1932 Ford 5 window coupes and/or tudor sedans. I had seen a couple pictures of one from the Michigan Billetproof show. Any other pics besides those?
What era ? probably get more response if you ask for altered pics of those models, at first the A-34 cpes /rdstrs were gassers then they were pushed into the A/ltered, S-treetRdstr/, CompCpe/ classes, then as we all know into the brackets and they dissapeared theres a few on my site/page http://groups.msn.com/gassers in the pictures section
I am not sure of the different classes they had, but I am looking to styles from the early 60s hot rod magazines, I think A/Altered. I like the nose bleed stance
Don't listen to well huh. If you explore THIS SITE: http://www.gassermadness.com/ They answer all those questions your asking DREW
Cant listen to well to the text in the message...I am familiar with that page but I am looking for early hot rods too, not just the professionally built pieces on that site. But the style like that in my first posting and the one you linked to
I would like to see photos like those on Marts Real Hot Rods page but Gasser style. That is one Bad Ass site by the way
Check out Rolls and pleats #7 page 27....some dude in florida has it...it has a 354 hemi in it and the bottom of the grill shell sitt about 3 feet from the ground....I know someone here has a pic...I dont have a scanner or id scan it....JAMIE
hahahaha. thats last time I try to give sombody who doesn't to research shit himself any advice. heres some more new pro built rods from that site. I'm not sure where the hell your lookin
Yes, that's true. I realize that younger guys (and some older guys) aren't familiar with the classes that were run in the early days. And "Gasser" is probably the most bastardized term on this board. It would be helpful if, when asking about race car styles, the person asking could at least post a picture of what they have in mind. Or, tell us the whole story in the first post... "...I am familiar with that page but I am looking for early hot rods too, not just the professionally built pieces on that site. But the style like that in my first posting and the one you linked to" It's not hard to find a picture on the internet, and I certainly don't mind helping someone who wants to learn - but do a little research on your own, and give us something to go on - please? I've been thinking of posting a "primer" of old race classes with some pictures to help the younger guys out. Maybe I should do it soon... This is the one in my garage, being built. Mutt
I went to that site some time ago, and there seemed to be alot of NHRA type cars on it. But as I see from the pics I am wrong. BUT look at my original post, that is the style I am looking for. Also the pics submitted so far too
I saw that car in person saturday in the garlits museum in ocala Fl..(if you hav never been its worth the trip no matter where your comin from)...man what a cool car..The windows look even smaller in person....those are some cool pics gasserfreak...JAMIE
a bunch of pro built billetmobiles on there. or why dont you look at the photos by norm grudem, broken down specifically by coupes and sedans, or roadsters. http://www.gassermadness.com/norms/index.html that start in the early fiftys and go up. http://www.gassermadness.com/mrm/v005-01.htm Drew
This is the stuff I was refering to. I want to see everyday people and their car, not sponsored by Jegs shit.
Here's a "brief history of gasser classes" according to the site. http://www.gassermadness.com/Gas_Classes/index.htm this place is a meca of photos and information for a "Gasserfreak"(tm) like myself. ya just gotta be patient and look around.
Thats because you never made it out of the classifieds obviously. Its amazing whats out there when your willing to look instead of just starting a "show me" post. PS. Thanks for that little lesson on navagating carnut mutt Drew
I have just brought a 1926 Ford T Coupe and i am thinking about making it into a Gasser. Does anyone have any photo's of ones that have been previously done? I also have a steel 41 Willys Coupe that i am in the process of making into a Hemi powered Gasser.
a couple of Ts and then a couple other sedans etc, (sorry, pics stolen from other HAMB threads most probably)
I guess you mean pics of altereds ? like this Best thing to do is read the stuff on gasser madness site, it will quickly educate you on whats a gasser and whats not.
