  2. I spotted you at BTTF cruising around. The kids had grins from ear to ear. I never found you parked to chat. Sure enjoyed this build. Very nice pickup.

Truck is looking good. I like it and i think children also liked it. It's body should be very solid.

  6. Today we finished the brackets for the push bumper. I had David paint a bull's eye on it then for me.

  18. Those pictures are awesome! In fact I have been trying to take this picture and antique it in photoshop, but I just got CS5 and I really messed it up!:mad::mad: Well anyway it looks like a blast and it turned out great![IMG]

  19. I finally took the time to check out the steering problems I am having. The truck darts all over the place. It turns out it was a simple fix. The steering arm I installed has deep holes drilled and tapped in it and it bolts on through the top two holes in the spindles. I originally measured the hole depth and used a 1/2-20 x 1 1/2" long bolt. It turns out the holes are not tapped to the bottom and the steering arm was not tight to the spindle and was just slightly loose causing the truck to wander. All I did was run a bottom tap in the holes. Now it is 50% better. Next I am going to fix the drag link's funky angle.

  20. It has bee pretty quiet but I am going to tear her apart soon. I did just pick up a 34 glove box door though. Saturday I spent looking at all the flathead transmissions I have because I have problems with the 39. I think I have decided to just rebuild the one in the truck though.

Great truck, thanks for documenting so well!

  28. I have been wanting to put aluminum heads on the Flathead since day one. I really did not want to spend a ton of cash on heads though. Today at work I scored when a customer brought in a pair Fentons he bought new in 1962. He took them off because he was having engine problems and did not want to wreck the heads. He gave me a sweet deal and now they are mine!
