I think" completely false" is the wrong way of putting it. You should have said "not completely true". LN7 NUT did say they used hearses and ambulances, so he was right there. But... let's not let one of my favorite threads become a Caddy camper trivia thread., I mean hell, I was just making a joke since I've seen several of them.

    So, now, back on topic....

I know what you mean, I could never do it myself either.

See if they could go for a trade for a similar car body in less saveable shape, T parts are very plentiful in most places, you could throw together a T lawn ornament a lot easier then getting another good Chev coup body like that.

These belong to a friend of mine. They are quietly rusting away on a farm near Herman Missouri. 1969 Roadrunner, a few 70 Challengers, a Charger, some Dusters, and a 50's International. In his barn, a 440 6bbl shaker hood black on black 70 Challenger, a 440 6bbl Super Bird, 69 1/2 Roadrunner, 69 Hemi Roadrunner, among the notable few....

  24. My wife and I lived on a ranch in north Texas right after I got out of college. It was several hundred acres and had the foundation of an old historic fort on it.

I found this 26/27 T roadster shell down in a creek bottom about two weeks after we moved in. The owner said I could have it, so I rescued it.

Here's a shot of the day I pulled it out of it's resting spot.

  25. I cleaned up the T roadster shell and bought a turtle deck for it from old man Howell of Howell's Sheet Metal in Nederland, TX. I was going to use it as the foundation for a project, but ended up selling it at Pate (back when Pate was out in the country at the Pate museum).

FWIW....the turtle deck in this photo is the turtle deck that old man Howell used to make his reproduction turtle deck molds from.

It looks better then my 27 T roadster, and mine was never in a creek, it was actually a hot rod in the 70's...

I was grinning like a jackass chewing briers the whole way home. its the same car that was in the post 805 [IMG][IMG][IMG]
