    Check out his hood, haven't found the photo yet, but i first saw this tuck back in the 90's when it was on a newer chassis and still had a roof, it was patina'd and green, I knew it was the same truck due to the damage on the hood when I got this shot in 2009!

    Hey, I was glad to see it go for 89K. Now it will be easier to convince my wife that mine is not just a piece of junk.

    Here is a picture of my 1940 Ford COE. I found her here on the h.a.m.b.. I flew to Brigham City Utah on Sunday and drove her back to Pensacola Florida. I got home last evening! 4 and a half 12 - 14 hour days on the road with the truck of my dreams! A mans dream and a rare opportunity to really get to know your truck! Even my wife loves it ! Wow! The Picture is from a stop over I made on the road just outside of Denver. 6 degrees that morning! I named her Stonehenge for her massive upright beauty. Plus I own a concrete countertop manufacture business where she will pull duty in advertising and delivery so the name fits us!

    Nice that the COE sold early in auction and for such a great price.two of mine have sold since that sale and a third is expected to be sold today.
    Time to go get some more. The funny thing is that 1 of two sold were looked at by person that went to the BJ auction, and he said he wanted it, and he was the second one to call and try to but it after he saw coe sell in az.
    It might be cold here today but the phone works. And COE,s are hot.i think i will even sell my 47 as offer is right.

    I like the GMC myself. Doesn't look too bad, in the one picture.

    My 49 Ford COE has had a lot of pics on the HAMB here, including early in this thread. This pic is from about 1 month ago, after 17 inches of snow on top of 10 inches three days prior. Just a kind of artsy looking pic for winter.

    I actually live in the mountains east of Albuquerque. I am at 7100 ft and winter snow is normal here. Not necessarily 17 inches, usual amount is 12 inches or less, and it typically melts off a lot between storms. BTW, my COE is not worth***** in the snow, I get stuck in my own driveway :rolleyes:

    I was at Kirtland after a year + in upper peninsula of Michigan, I figured I was due for a little sunshine, then I come out one morning to a fresh coat of snow on my car. That was a letdown!

    I am just about finished with my 41 Ford COE and I am having trouble finding door glass weather strip runs and window belt felts.

    Has anyone found a good source for them?

    Thanks, Roger

    Hey C4Scott;
    Your long trip home is a great beginning story to what will hopefully be YOUR long time owning an awesome truck.
    Do you know any of the truck's history?
    What is the drivetrain in the truck now? It looks updated.
    Do you have any straight-on side pictures of the truck and maybe a business card image? I will be happy to try a photoshopped image of how your vintage advertising masterpiece might look.

  25. still watching the slide show.. the one in black and white with an old car carrier reminds me of one a friend has, its almost exactly the same.

    Cool to see some more picks from this COE Truck. The firs pic I have from it is from 2003 and also from the NSRA Midwest Nats 05 I found on carnut.com. Love to see some build or updates from it. Have fun with it:cool:
