All right folks, it’s model building time again. In honor of the 80th Anniversery of the 1932 Ford, we will be building Deuces. Any body style as long as Henry built it in 1932. If you have any interest in models or are looking for a reason to build again, here’s your chance. All you need to do to enter is be a member of our model group.

    HERE ARE THE RULES:

START DATE: February 29, 2012 to coincide with the start of the Petersen Automotive Museums Deuce Week

FINISH DATE: June 1, 2012 (That gives us 3 months)

TYPE OF MODEL: Any scale or brand of model kit is acceptable as long as it follows the 1932 Ford guidelines.

No already finished models can be entered. It has to be a kit that is roughly started or a brand-new build.

We will have an in-progress thread going in our social group to upload in-progress pics. No finished pics can be uploaded before the finish date. I will need a 3/4 view , interior, motor detail and chassis shot with a brief explanation of what you did to the model emailed to me by June 1, 2012.

You can enter as many kits as you can build before the deadline.

There will be prizes for: Best in Show, Best Paint, and Best Motor, with a couple surprises thrown in along the way.

Feel free to email me with any questions: luciomduran@gmail.com

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=27780

If you don't feel like entering, post up some pictures of your favorite 1932 Fords for our inspiration!

As long as it starts out as a Deuce, get as crazy as you want.

I'm in. I've got a 5W build that's too far along to include, but I have some other ideas.

All builds are eligible regardless of how far you want to detail it. That's what makes this club so cool. We have all different levels of skill. Make sure you sign up to join the model club.

A Tri-Five Build-Off is coming- I'm sure it's just a matter of time. It's been at the top of our discussions lately, but with the 80th anniversary of the '32 Ford, a Deuce Build-Off was just too good to pass up.

I'm going to try and reproduce my brothers car from the early 60's, nailherad with 8 dueces, I know it's origianally a A on a '32 frame, but it should have been a duece., [IMG]
