Just noticed a few eager beavers posting on last weeks model thread, so cause it IS Sunday done here, I thought that I would get the ball rolling for this week Once again this model was built by my mate FC59 and IMO it's a pearla (Aussie for bloody good) Please enjoy Cheers Rod Is there any chance that a moderator can bring posts 37/8/9 from last weeks models over to this weeks where they really belong ? Then everyone can enjoy them. Cheers again

fat141 that '38 flatbed is bitchin! I got some work done on the RPU-lengthened frame, etc also rediscovered a carhauler I was working on a while back
Geez Zed, you are a brush master. That is beautiful! Any chance you captured all the steps on camera foe a walk through tutorial on the masks and technics you used to achieve such detail? I am assuming all the pinstripes are freehand with a small line brush?
thanks a lot jigger ! no, the pinstripe aren't free hand ! it's just a cheater trick : first i've painted the gold, masked the soon to be pinstripe with a very thin masking tape, then the purple
Revell '48 Ford. Re-chopped, reworked and reshaped skirts, chrome side trim added, lowered (more than kit) front and rear, huge holes in firewall filled and wire hinges made, , sunken rear license plate, '57 Y-Block engine, '57 T-Bird wheel covers with a baby moon bolted,,,,er,,,,uh,,,,,glued on. Paint is Duplicolor Cayman Green and Testors Wet Look Clear, polished out.
Awsome stuff this week. Of course 141 has to post a 37/38 truck to show me up sheeesh. Oh well here is mine.
Cheater trick or not, it still takes a steady hand to line up the fine tape and not bury it it paint. Excellent job there Zed! And also thanks for the multiple pics Lyle.
shades34<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_7372007", true); </SCRIPT> , your truck is very nice. The color combo is right on. Board is a nice touck, too!
I saw the model of the 37/38 truck today. I started to buy it but bought a 33 ford coupe snap kit for the body. The truck looks really good. Is the bedwood a decal or paint? Looks really good. TP
thanks a lot guys next time i'll try to remember to take pics this not hard : first the gold, then thin masking tape to draw the pinstriping. for the lace i've used a sort of fishnet, put it on the side and spayed the red. after that i've masked the lace panel to protect them and sprayed the dark purple (look brown, i know!lol!) to the body
