began by sand blasting the cowl, solid, but needs some patch repair and a sub floor.

my frame nearly ready for the drive train and body, got it rolling that day! sportin' a real model A dropped axle, 35 ford wish bones, F-1 spindles, and a shiny pair of chormed '50 Lincoln Brakes. and a set of '48 F-1 5 on 5.5 16's.

ended up going with 28/29 coupe doors, could'nt find the correct A pick up door. but these are a little shorter and can make chopping abit easier.[IMG]

[IMG] the a pillar door hinge pivots were torched off, so I began searching for them.

headed up to Ventura to get me a door, was a little bit reluctant to get it, but I came around as I cut the inner bracing out the back and began knocking the dings and dents out then gave it a good sand blasting. [IMG]

turned my attention to the rear cab, the back window and lower piece were completely shot out from 80+ years of abuse and neglect. stretched out and caved in, almost tempted to by a repop. but I spent a good 2 hours hammering and dollying it into usable condition.[IMG] [IMG]

all bolted together with the cab conners and center back section bolted together. added 3 1/4 inch square tubing in place of wood. then channeled it frame length. [IMG]

Before you decide to go with shorter coupe doors, they are totally different than the truck doors, truck doors were still model T coupe and sedan doors technically. I will have an extra drivers door when I get my truck here tomorrow. I'd be interested in selling it to ya for a good price if it helps. It needs work at the top but seems you can do it. Just letting ya know.

I found out last week my cowl was 28/29 coupe or sedan from Bert's model A because the A pillar hinges had 2 bolts from the back. but both style doors line up perfectly to the hinges on the cowl. the doors have a difference in the belt lines, and height. but the width is the same. I spent almost 2 months trying to track down a driver door, and heard from numerous sources that the A truck doors, and T coupe doors are the same. I ended up finding a deal on a pair of coupe doors I could'nt p*** up! thanks very much though!

Hinge pivots came in the mail today, these things are becoming hard to find, supprised not many people re-pop them for a reasonable price. got an original set from Bert's Model A Center in Colorado at the most reasonable rate of $25 a piece! [IMG]

got the new hinges bolted on and hung the doors last night, then began channeling the cowl over the frame. next up is to square up the cab and finish making the body structure. changing the rearend soon, and gonna give the stance a nice rake to it. after that I can start fitting the bed.
