    Nice work so far. Determination and a budget can go a long way! Been collecting sheetmetal myself to do a 34 3/w and eventually roadster once my 5/w (avatar) is completed.

    Your big work will be taking the "bulbous" shape out of the sedan roof to make it more coupe like.
    I love builds like this. Doing shit the hard way has always interested me.

    Here's some inspiration on a couple of 34 4 dr.'s turned 5 window (Blindowl and the Cheater Swiss coupes);

    Thanks guys!

    Nothing major to look at yet this week, I did get the door inner bottom panels fit and tacked in place, in that process I found that had misunderstood the dimension given to me for the B pillar height, hence my B pillars were mounted about 1/2" too low on the subrail... part of the reason the rear sits so low, putting them in the right place allowed the doors to line up better/open and close and translated to about an inch of height at the rear of the car. Also helped the hood and grille to line up pretty well.

    Big thanks to my pal Bruce (53woody) for hooking me up with the original seat out of his 3w, I swung down for a quick visit last night and picked it up, thanks bud!!

    I'm going to attempt to build a driver's side rear quarter this weekend out of the rear section of the top bead from the junk one I have, a repop wheel well, a four door doorskin, and some compound curves cut from a junk rear sedan fender... wish me luck!

    Mike, my patch panels aren't here yet so it's not done yet... Macs said they had them, I drove over there and all they had "in stock" was the front inner fenders... dammit! So I bought all my brake shit, lines etc while I was there and worked on that instead. UPS sez they'll be here thurs-ish. bummed but it turned out I had to go out of town this weekend anyhow soo... it all worked out, hahaha!

    BUT I did get the Ramhorns from farmer-in-the DEL(ton) and they fit! BARELY but they will work just fine!

    Thanks Mel, you and me both man! I do still need the inner, I have a serviceable outer that I picked up in the classifieds. I was going to just whip something up on the brake to tie everything together in there and attach the decklid latch to but if I can source an OG one...

  26. Oh well, maybe next weekend. Please take lots of pics!
    Mel, I would be interested in that outer if Andy doesn't need it...

    I'm exciting most about the sheet metal work on this one. It's really going to be the thing that blows people away. As for inner fenders you've seen mine when you were here at my house. Pretty stupid to hammer out the bubbles.....so I'll be needing those to say the least.

    Glad the Y block is working out for you and that you're staying on track! Bonne 2012 here you come!

  28. Hey boys, mine is a flawless original. Both the inner and outer are spot welded to each other, so I wouldn't separate it. I haven't listed it because I'm afraid to tell people what I want for it. Haha. But it's one of those pieces that makes an ok car nice. Its not hacked up from tail lights or fender benders.

  29. Haha! Sounds too rich for my blood then!
    I have super dope OG inner and a mediocre outer that doesn't quite have the right curve!
    Sorry Andy, back to your thread!
