hmmm, I think I am in on this one too :)

I haven't build in ages, but I still have all of my models, many half started, so I think I will dig them out and play with them again.

I know you aren't in Denver anymore fortypickup but every month there is a model swap meet here. You can pick em up for pretty cheap.

  8. How cheap is pretty cheap? I may have to see if I can get my cousin over to grab one up.
My nephew in Ft. Collins too...
Lucio, can you post either a link or an ad for that?

Damn...deeply honored you showed my old coupe. If someone considered building it, I have a ton of pics. Thanks for the mention...

Awesome...PM sent!! God I love this place! :D

  12. Larry, that rig is da BOM'BA! For all you've done to support the artists and craftsmen of the HAMB family, you should get the replica if someone does build your car.

    Question!

Can we get bigger pics on the next voting thread? The little pics lose detail Bigtime! Just a thought.

  25. Well, after months of not touching a model I finally got a workspace backsoooo I am celebrating my triumphant (Read-Failure) return to model building with entering the 32 build off.

I know with the likes of Lyle and Zed (Dude, man that purple Willy's is awesome!!) I don't have a chance but what the hell.

I am thinking a Revell 32 5 window, chopped, channeled, sectioned opened doors and boot (Trunk). Thinking of cutting out the fabric roof insert and having it hinged open. Maybe a brass tube chassis full cage, serious set back on a flattie/Ardun heads with a potvin crank driven blower (Maybe twin if they will fit). QC rear, ? gear box at this stage. Dropped drilled I beam front, hairpin's (Or drilled split wishbone's?) dropped spindles no front brakes, steelies with moon disks, flat on the inside. Bonnet (Hood) like the Chrisman Bros. Coupe and a full floor pan...............
well thats all I can think of for starters.

It's that or a 1/32 scale Pyro 3 Window kit built out off box?:rolleyes:

Though with my painting skills with an airbrush in my hand I could ruin a pre-painted model just by blowing the dust off!!
SO Zed, if I promise my first born child (Or the cash from it if I sell:p) will you paint my model!!:D:rolleyes: (Kidding!!)

So guy's any idea's, advice or am I just 'dreamin?

    Doc.

PS: I need just Revell 5 window coupe body, just that by itself. Not much to trade but try me, maybe we can work out a deal??

    Wow. Photos please! :D

  27. Has anyone got pics of the rear end set up on Art Chrismans 5 Window Coupe? Was it solid mount? Please!

    Doc.

Sounds like you got a good plan there Doc! My opinion on the frame would be to use the factory frame and make the X member out of tube. Just me 2cents.

Did you make the seats from scratch?
