Don't know if these 'borrowed' from an older thread have been posted here before but I am not going to go through 100 + pages. Apologies if this is a re-post....

I love the look of a chopped Coupe ! I don't have the balls to cut up one of mine but I would like to build a body from pieces to look like that ! Love it ! Nice piece of history you have there .

The fourth is from 2001,it is still the same today. Hope to get some pics from the original builder soon.

I really liked it the first time I saw it at Bristol in the late 70's. Never dreamed someday I would own it,much less have it for 29 yrs. It was chopped by one of the original builders when they built it as a C/Gas car in the 60's. One of the original builders in Hendersonville N.C. is still alive. The three other previous owners were from this area also and then in Dec. '82 I brought it here to W.Va. where it has been since.

Hi there! Im brand new here and was cruising these pics for ideas on my build. on page 7 under the caption "dreams" i found 3 pics of my coupe that i didnt even know about. Ive had it and been collecting parts for 19 years now and this year im finally gona build it. one note tho, the front clip pictured is from the "eastern super shaker" with "68 nhra champion" lettering still visible. does anyone know where the original car is?? just in case someone is restoring that car and may need it more than i do. if the shaker is long gone i thought about doing a clone/tribute. thanks for any help...rif.

Actually its just the classic Willys vs Anglia battle to death, except this time its been carried over to the road course. Now thats ironic. FYI, that year and style of Anglia was quite comptetive in UK/European touring car (read their version of Trans Am) from the early to late 60's. Some had Formual 2 or 3 engines under the hood.

I wonder if Snyder's P/U later became that of Bob Tietz?

Looks to be from a movie, do you which one? I find myself always looking for a pre war Willys when I watch old movies. I have seen a couple but never seen this one, thanks for posting!

Originally Gene Ciambellas (Conway) C&O Willys, then Hicks & Sons A/GS, and finally Day's BB/GS with 327 Chevy. Beat out nearly 20 other BB/GS cars for class honors at 69 Indy. Alas, it crashed a few weeks later.

I am in need of a 41/42 Willys glove box door and spring clips. I have a extra fixed door thats mint towards a trade. I also have a bare mint complete 41 dash if this helps anybody. I am always looking for gauge clusters and dash trim. Also I have cash I could trade if this helps.

I think Corwin and Johnson's coupe was a 40 Studebaker. It ran AA/FA and was featured in HRM.

Willys in the movies......"The Maltese Falcon" with Humphrey Bogart. He's crossing the street outside his office and has to dodge a coupe to avoid being run down.

I think one of Clint Eastwood's movies (playing an aging FBI agent) trying to recapture a prison escapee (Kevin Costner). At a roadblock there's a line of cars awaiting the checkpoint.....looks like from the shape of the window opening, a yellow coupe , picture shot from inside the car.

There's a shot from the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor.....a coupe sitting on the street, shot to hell, full of heavy caliber bullet holes, I assume from the strafing attacks. Saw a couple of time on History Channel when they still did historical content.

Yep, I too watch old movies for these things.....
