  1. Haha, exactly :D I'm still at work!!

  2. Chris , I used the VHT header paint on my 49 Coupe and one off T.O. car. It held up pretty good so far..

  3. Lovin' this build. I can't wait to see what it will look like with the flattie in.

  4. OK guys, my friend Garrett was at my place and I was talking about dumping it in this weekend...he said why not now? So with his help we did the deed. Glad he was there, too. It's not a small task to drop an engine/tranny in a car, get the drive line lined up with the U joint and lower it all down without rubbing and scratching everything.

Ran into a slight problem- The bolt on the front pulley hits the hoop on the upper U bolt locator. Just have to simply cut the hoop off (it is not needed) and it will be easy-breezy.

I wish someone would invent the sarcasm button!

    ...you got it running yet?;)

  9. coming along real nice Chris !

  10. Naw, this is were it's going to slow down....I want to get get everything hooked up and ready to go when she fires. That means I gotta put the gas tank in and run fuel lines, install the dash and gauges, wire it, etc. Nothing major, but I don't think I'll have her running tonight ;)

What is that hoop on the u-bolt locator? It was almost like it was made to get in your way! Looking great!

  12. The hand crank goes through there, and I think it was just made to protect the radiator incase the crank sliped out or the engine backfired. Thats why I said it is no longer needed, and with a longer crank snout I assume most guys eliminate them.

On your 33 JJ, you won't even be using this part will you? I assume not with Mustang II...

It's a guide for the hand crank. The '34 engine has a shorter crank snout then the later engines, so that's where the issue comes from...

Well I was going to go MII but then I found a complete s10 frame I'm going to just put the body on. It's already set up with a cantilever bag system so some days I can ride high just like (and I do mean JUST LIKE) the Pre War Hot Rods and other days I can drop it on the ground and throw sparks just like the 50's bro! :D:D:D

Thanks LP, that's a good honest answer unlink some (oversized) people. ;)

Lot of progress fast Chris....is it as easy as you make it look?.....:p

  16. It's not hard work at all, and I really have not done too much yet. It's mostly cleaning and stuff...to me the worst part about old cars. EVERYTHING needs to be cleaned! A blast cabinet is on my wish list :D

Going to look at some blocks tomorrow.....fingers crossed.

  18. Make sure they are 24 studs, and if they are 48 and earlier, the good ones say "59" on the bellhousing. Earlier ones do not have a rear main seal, just a slinger. I recommend one with a rear main...

  21. Got a lot of little things done today. My good friend Mike came over and helped me a ton! He just started grabbing shit and going to town! Got a lot more buttoned up on the engine, wires ran, deck lid installed, clutch adjusted, fuel block hung, etc. Just a lot of little stuff that really east up time. Oh, also got my Rajah wire ends on. Thanks again Mike!!!

I gotta paint that voltage regulator. Car is obviously going to be 12V

  27. Today was another good day, I tore the front end out and mocked up the dropped axle. It is super warm here, been working with the doors open. I love the stance up front, I don't even think I'm going to mess with the front spring. Good to see it outside.

Stance is spot on bud. I wouldn't touch it until you rebuild this thing with fenders. Like I said it's straight out of Birth Of Hot Rodding!!!

  29. Thanks man, yeah I don't want it slammed down...Look at Verne Hammon's car of the Choppers. Thats the look I'm after
