Glad to see this icon '55 finally get the proper attention it so well deserves. Putting it back to AG form would probably make it worthy of the Smithsonian, as the most known '55 Chevy in history. Glad the right people finally go ahold of it.

so the pics of it in the original post are how it looks now? .... excuse me but what is so gold-chainer about it? other then the lettering on the fender and the junk in the trunk and the red /black interrior it doesnt look all that different or am i missing something?

YIKES,,,,,Thats going to be a monumental job trying to bring the TLB 55 back to its proper TLB condition, it's gonna take about 45 gallons of paint stripper and a dumpster to hold all the chrome parts and velour. What a mess hope .......it turns out OK

Not going back to the TLB look. Bring it back to the way it was in American Grafitti .

Knowing the new owner like I do, the car could not be in better hands.

From what Paul Lemat and my conversation a few yrs back and Harrison Ford said to another good friend of mine, this 55 was being worked on more than it ran back when they were filming... all sorts of engine issues...

glad to see its going to a good home... cant believe the previous owner did that streetrod crap to it... makes me wana kick em in the balls.

Great to hear it is finally with someone who cares. The idiot that owned it just needed to find any old 55 two door and modify it to his liking instead of screwing up a legend.

    It's, "Here's one for justice!".

Merc squels around the corner. Cops look at it, first in shock, then in anger. Camera moves to Merc. Kurt, leaning out the passenger side door, shouts, "HERE'S one for justice." While giving the "finger". Camera picks up cops taking off. Rearend is snatched from underneath police car.

For the life of me, I can't understand why some people find it so hard to hear what Kurt's saying. Why would, "Stand up for justice!" piss off the cops? Exactly, it wouldn't.

And it's been a year. Is it done yet?
