It's been a good weekend at Poverty Flats. Things got started here on Thursday night as G***erlouie (GL) and his son Matt (GLjr.) showed up at our home from Lincoln, NE. Even though he had a recent hip surgery the big man was getting along pretty good. It was good to see them...

So early Friday am after a good breakfast from Mrs. PF of homemade Belgian waffles (of which Matt won the eating contest) with bacon and eggs....we took the over one hour drive to the swap meet which is straight south of me.

Right away I ran into my pal Marvin (survivor) who is the guy that sold me the clown car back last year after I had sold it to him some 6 years earlier....
He is a vendor with alot of nice, clean items.

I soon ran into my favorite brother in law Lawrence who is my regular swap meet partner and I walked thru this meet with him the rest of the day while GL and GL jr. moved at their own pace...

I forgot to mention that it had rained overnight and was still raining steady on Friday but the place was full of vendors and shoppers alike.
This is the first meet of the season in the Midwest and is all inside 3 buildings that are connected in a horse show pavilion type facility i a rural area along the interstate highway and is north of Wichita but not in the city.
The rain was much needed and appreciated.

I soon saw my pal Model A John who has a beauty of a 62 Chevy II Nova g***er and a fast Model A coupe too. John is a vendor at this meet and can be seen in this photo waving cash around like a mad man....
John and his swap meet partner offered me a seat for resting and good conversation. And a sandwich on Saturday.
    Thanks fellows!

Thanks, Flats. That stuff in the booth with the Chevy steering wheel looks like it was priced right. We did'nt make it down this year.

I liked this turn of the century early motorcycle rim that the guy wanted $600 for but did not know what it fit. Still cool and good shape.
