    Not exactly. As I understood it, the Meteor band in Canada was equivalent to Ford and the Monarch was equivalent to Mercury. The pictured car is a Meteor Montcalm not a Mercury. The Mercury Meteor was a U.S. car. They were not exactly smaller nor more economical than their comparable Fords and Mercurys with comparable optioned drive lines. The American/Canadian branding and styling differences (Pontiac. Parisienne, etc.) had to do with corporate legalities the details of which I don't recall.

    Optical illusion? or did you only get one headlight as standard equipment? It looks similiar to an Austin or ????? (I'm kinda lost when it comes to European cars)
