I will!!! Thanks. I've got a pretty warm 289 in a cougar that's gonna get a 428 (and strait axle...) That will be perfect.

  4. This is outstanding, Big Dad's picture is awesome. Have loved these cars since my buddy got a 56 Montclair in high school. Keep us posted on progress man, this really a rare find. ~sololobo~

Thanks everyone so far. PLEAESE be patient, It will be a bit before I can really start on the Merc. I have several thats got to go before I have room, and even then it's not gonna be cheap. This car has lots and lots of chili and mud, so it's gonna practically have to be fully frame-off restored as origional along with the Mods Mr Ritter did, because he ran it with full origional trim, and most of its missing.

You must come from one of those functional families I've heard about.

Drove the Cheetah to the Iron Lords Bash last week. Luckily it's 35 mph all the way there from my house. Those 5:30's in the rear are rough on the street!! Next stop...ShadySide!!! see what she'll do!

Ron said he would be at 7200 in the lights. He ran the 256 Y block with a huge 2 barrel carb!! 2 bbls were required in his class, but were not restricted to size. Engine was built by Schliepers speed shop, which back then speciallised in circle track and sprint car engines, so they new how to spin em and keep em alive.

I ran into a guy (groundpounder) at the party who worked at Schliepers in the 80's, but now does lettering. He is gonna recreate the lettering, and My Mom, who is an awesome artist is going to do the Cat on the trunk.
    cant wait
