I, like most people on here am always on the lookout for my next project or just some cool old cars. I have personally been looking for an Econoline Pickup. My buddy told me there was a red one just down the street from me. You could barley see it from the road...How he spotted it I'll never know. The Pickup just happens to be on a property with a large abandoned house on it. So I decided that it would be ok to walk back and check out the truck...boy was I in for a treat. Not only did I find an Econoline pickup....I found 2 of them, plus two cool delivery truck, a 4dr 56 buick and a 4dr early 40's lincoln. Now I have to track down the owner of the property and see if I can talk him out of one of the Econolines. One of the Econolines has been parked so long that a tree has grown up between the front bumper and body. the tag on it was from 79. The other one with the Falcon trim had a tag from 83. It is amazing what you can find just down the road.
Cool! The red pickup with the body trim may be a Spring Special" They were only built in the spring of 65 or 66. I know of a Dodge A100 van with a tree growing from in between the rear bumper and body. Ive been told its not for sale. As well as all the other cars and trucks in the old ladies yard. Good luck on your search and hope you get them!
You found nothing, you tresp***ed on private property. You saw the truck from the road. Go to the tax rolls and find the owners first! Come tresp***ing on my property and you will find a gun. Good luck there son. I hate thiefs. MYOB! What is it with not respecting others?
woah man.. highly doubt he's a thief, if the property is derelict, and there's no "no tresp***ing" signs and hes going to just look whats the harm? its when stuff gets defaced, or stolen there's a problem..
and i think i made a post about this, theres a nice 64 chevy c10 sitting in a lot caddy corner to us, its been there for the good part of 20 years, curiosity finally got the best of me and i went over to see if i could find some paperwork to contact the owner to see if they wanted to sell it. found em and got a phone call back about a week later saying that they didn't want to sell, I guess they want their kids to inheret a box of rust.. lol they actually took the house trailer off the property and left the poor neglected c10 to rot
I have already contacted the city hall and found out who the owner of the property is and am currently trying to get a hold of him. I am no ****ing Thief. I didn't open any door on the the vehicles or go inside the old house...I just simply took a quick look and a couple of pics. Had there been some one to ask I would have gladly asked if I could go back and looked. So next time before you go running off at the mouth why dont you get your facts straight.
pretty sure he said he was gonna track down the owners. doesn't sound like he took anything either. however, it does sound like it may be worth looking into further. also i don't believe its respectful to threaten others with gun violence there son.
I agree.....and you never know who has a gun on them either... So a word to the wise...if you pull a gun on someone you better be prepared to use it..pulling a gun is the easy part (trying to scare someone)...squeezing the trigger is not so easy for most.
OH yes....I would love to have both...I prefer the 3 window ones but I would gladly take these. I just hope I can talk him out of them.
yes it is...I love the lettering on it..."Railway Express". The other one is a late 30's International.
up thru early 40's K-5? Here is a "Railway Express" K-5 that Lowriders Art Gallery drug in off a local ranch a couple months ago. - He has a thing for ugly -
The lincoln was under a tarp...all I could see was hubcaps. So I didn't take a pic of it...wasnt going to lift the tarp without permission
I found an old '52 Chevy 1 ton panel truck sitting by an abandoned house years ago. After tracking down the owner I found he had p***ed away. The man's kids didn't want that "old hunk of junk" and I offered $75.00 which they were more than willing to take. It had a cracked block but the old truck was in amazingly good shape. I found a good running six cylinder to replace the old for $115.00, replaced the one bucket seat with two out of an old Camaro and literally had a blast with that thing. With a granny gear 4 speed and a big ground clearance with the 1 ton suspension it made a perfect vehicle for hunting and fishing. Stop and check out every old vehicle you see, you never know when you might be the lucky winner when the owner finally gets tired of answering questions about that old hunk of junk.
When I venture onto someones property I turn on my flashers and set off my car alarm...I'm generally met with an curious weapon wielding property owner, however, they at least take into account I didn't "Sneak" onto their land. Or, I'm met by a neighbor willing to provide me with information that leads me to the property owner.
