Looks pretty sound but needs a few patch panels by the look of it. Good luck with it, its nice to see young people with an interest in this stuff.

I've pulled a body or 2 off a frame in our shop using a slowly rising jask system and a cherry picker.. So we put a huge chain block off one of the I's in the shop.

Should make life out there alot better.

Not to much has been goin on.

I got the front clip and almost all the body mounts undone.

Body should be off that frame very soon.. Like this week?

hey dad, you got a damn good kid right there!! at least in his car taste.lol. not only are you helping him build his car but your getting a chance to help shape his character. alot better to spend money on cars and parts than rehab and lawyers.enjoy the time dad, they do come with a exparation date.

How many teenagers are in the shop by themselves at 7:30 on a Tuesday night?
I want you guys to know that although I love working with him on stuff this is all his and he does everything!

This kid is the complete opposite of every kids I have had the misfortune of running into. I work with adults who aren't even this dedicated to anything. The lucky person here... His dad. Not many parents get this opportunity with their teens. Great job both of you and cherish this moment. I can't wait to see the completed project. It is going to be awesome. Congrats

Cool car, cool Dad & cool kid. Althought my old man got me started & taught me the majority of what I know about cars, he absolutely hated my hot rod stuff. Caused major friction between us but I wish he was still around.

  16. Nice!
Keep it up and you'll be driving this thing in no time!
Wish I could've shared the same experience with my dad...

Hey man sweet start! That chopped Shoebox looks dope!

Will be keeping a close eye on this build.

Love the fact you're hopping up the Flatty and not going the SBC option...

Keep her low in the weeds and trad and she'll be one cool Rod! And make sure you can hear that Flatty nice and loud too!

My Grandfather ran his upside down in his '41 ford convertible back in the 50's..

I'll get a picture of the steering wheel in his car when I get a chance.

To add to that point, not only did my grandfather (I'm smarg's brother) run his Merc wheel upside down, the wheel my brother is using is that wheel our grandfather used in the '50s. It's a family piece. It looks better "upside-down" anyway.

Just some kickin' and yellin' today..

    Motor came out.

Ordered aerostar springs and new shocks for the front end should be in later this week.

So as I wait for the parts to come in I got to goofing around with some metal.
