The engine is a V4 9 litre capacity. The gear box is under the engine, the same as the original Mini. In WWII Christie worked with Issigonis (the designer of the Mini) designing tank suspension.

Howard Hoagland "Hoagy" Carmichael (November 22, 1899 – December 27, 1981) was an American composer, pianist, singer, actor, and bandleader.

in 1965 our family took a motor trip from Santa Ana Ca, to Minnesota in a wagon just like that one, a 56 Pontiac, i remember going thru the desert and stopping at the indian 'trading posts', stuckeys, and all the neat little motor hotels and restaurants that existed back then along rt 66.. wow, thanks yellerspirit.

Barney Oldfield sold this car for scrap when he was finished racing it. The wheels were cast bronze, there is more history on it in the Race Cars 1894-1944 thread here on the HAMB.

 

Fem-Futura Car 2000, which appeared in the 1960 Jerry Lewis movie Cinderfella. This hand-built car featured five different, independent steering systems (voice, radio, Unitrol, push-button, and steering wheel) and a lustrous pearl finish due to pulverized fish scales in the paint. The tires were gold-color Neothane glass and illuminated at night.
