mutt, your blatant removal of said copyrights and chastising those of us who don't is what i find abhorrent.

if you ever come to own something, i hope somebody steals it from you.

How bout' posting a line or 2 about the pictures you are puttin' up !
Trying to remember cars, tracks, and people I see in these pictures drives me over the edge. I know you all remember this stuff like it was this morning, but give me a break and write a syllable or 2 ! I could agree with that.

I noticed along the side of the shell, a "Crowerglide" sticker. I always thought the car was a direct drive unit, but obviously not. Next time, someone please ask Mikio what the combo was.

WCD, he probably would have used a Crower clutch with a transmission or without. A 'glide was a high $,$$$.00, very adjustable piece. Tom S.

Yea, I saw Carroll Caudle's 55 and Ralph Ridgeways 55 without any notations. They're both pretty important cars if you like tunnelrams. Lots of others that I've forgotten for the moment.

The East Coast counter part ot the So-Cal A/FA circuit. These guys were based out of Maryland I think, booking themselves into various tracks for Chicago style events.

That's one hairy son of a gun, Did you run it any around the Chattanooga area? (Brainard (GA) or Ringgold (GA)) By the way for those interested, The Brainard Optimist Club has taken over the drag strip again and are planning some improvments for the up coming season. I'll try to keep folks informed about the progress as I get reports.

Talked to Mikio today about the glide. Crower gave him the unit to try and he liked it after a few run to dial it in. He told me that his cars were all high gear only. Before the glide he said he would use the brake to help control wheel spin. Took him a picture of his old partner Leroy Chatterton today, said something about winners only on his new wall LOL.....

Glad to hear that about Brainard. I spent a bunch of nights at that track as a teenager when visiting my Grandparents. My Grandfather didn't care much for racing but he would never say no anytime I asked him to take me to the races. I can still hear my Grandmother telling him take Jr to the races and off we go. I think it was the trips up and down Rossville Blvd and seeing the Loose Caboose and I knew I just had to go see that Road Runner burn up the strip. Wow great times.

Regarding Tom S in Tn's tactfull request for some info on the pics,if there is some script with the pics I will include it.If not,you are SOL,and we both will have to rely on the immense wealth of knowledge on this site to educate and refresh our brains.
If I know something I will add my 2 cents.
