    This is the Bannister Bros dragster, 1957. 296 inch blown flattie. Was the second supercharged dragster in New England. Best time of 10.00 at 132 mph, in 1958! This car still exists, was restored by Paul Aldrich.

    That ran real good,didn"t it.
    Nice to see it is still with us.

    Your looking at 1972. Vette in far lane was a BB/FC when they were limited to gas. The Fiat of Ron Wood was the Handle Bar Spl, the Handle Bars being a Maryland based car club. A nitro burner, it appeared in a HRM article in 1970 albeit a bit shorter and with a wild purple, fuscia paint scheme not this rerigerator white stencil flammed looking motif.

    Yeah man, thanks that is one of my all time favorites, love seeing that chute just skimming the ground!

    And the Vette was later raced on alcohol serving as funny car racer R.C. Shermans first serious effort.
