Ive been lurking for awhile while building my inherited 28 Hup. Im transforming it into a hotrod while trying to retain or enhance its look. Im using late model running gear and thought Id put out my feelers to whether its acceptable here or not.

So, take that shit somewhere else? or Hell yeah lets see what ya got?

Lets see it. If some paint is still on it I wouldn't bother with that. Stock wooden wheels if I remember right, maybe use driveline compatable with wires (rivera? caddy?) that will take jumbo tires. IMO a dignified car like that should remain unchanged outward apearances. Big & heavy enough need something with grunt that will fit the hood.

I bought a Buick Roadmaster and stripped it down. LT1 and auto. Retained the EFI. Rewired the motor for component location.

I bought a Manex rear air from 'U yank it' which came out of a limo. The size is a little more than I could stuff under the dash in its entirety so I decided to cut a hole thru the firewall and recess the double fan motor. It moves some air.

I got it tucked under the dash pretty well. The car orginally had wood sill plates, which Ive redone in steel. I think I will duct a vent into the steel sill plate since its hollow, to channel heat and air to the rear of the car.

Built some brackets for the alt and a/c compressor so everything would fit under the hood:

Nice work! You'll probably be the only one with a '28 Hup most anywhere you go!

Nice fab work. Looks like it will be a nice driver. Did the rear come out of a explorer?

To be honest I was afraid to open this thread because I expected to see a fairly rare and unique car so drastically cut up that it would be a far cry from what it originally started life as.

The work is first class and it is evident that a lot of thought was given in the Hups resurrection,,I believe the previous owner would approve. HRP
