The first time I saw this car I fell in love. Everything about it is just perfect. I hope that I can build an a coupe as cool as it someday...

And a smarter man still washes his hands when he doesn't pee on them and then he uses a paper towel on the door knob so he doesn't have to get the ***** residue left there from the wiser man who never washed his hands :D<!-- / sig -->

My list is a mile long and half of them have been posted in this thread but for me it was the car that I drove in as a little boy in 1959 and that I am lucky enough to own today.

The Raven was built by my fathers best friend Arthur Bentas and whent on the win the 1959 NHRA National Custom Car Championship in Detroit. After restoring it, we unveiled it at Detroit Autorama 50 years later for Arthur to see once again. I was so honored when Arthur hugged me and shed a tear on my shoulder. I also cried.

This is the car that has taken my breath away for over 50 years.

This car took my breath away after a buddy of mine and I helped Connie Kalitta roll this funny car ch***is out into the driveway of his shop. We were 17 years old. We found out where he lived and showed up at his door like two little puppy dogs. Shirley answered the door and sent us to the shop. We helped him work on the car and rolled it out. The part where he started it up is where my breath went away, my legs got weak and I felt faint with envy. There was a 50 gallon drum of oil (full) and a few cans on top of it near the car. They bounced around every time Connie revved that beast up. IT WAS AWESOME!!!! My first real close experience with a dragster.

I'm not a big Customs fan, but there are still a few I would like to have. When Cadzilla came out in Hot Rod magazine, it literally took my breath away. As far as customs go... this is the BEST one ever built. It's not traditional and personally, I don't care. What is, is perfect.

  30. I cant seem to find a picture of it, but the street (not strip) version of the "phony pony" built in the mid 60s. An allison v16 plane engine in a 65 mustang with the hood WAY stretched out to accomodate it.

I stood and marvelled at that beautiful beast for a good half hour.
