Whats the best thing you learned on the h.a.m.b. ?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by grazy, Feb 21, 2012.

  1. I have learned to be humble when needed! and I have learned to kick back when being humble don't work!!. Also not to take anyone to seriously;). I have learned that there is way more knowledge than I will ever be able to retain hear on the HAMB. I have found answers for everything I needed so far:cool:..... Just gota look or ask...

I've been a lurker for many months... never felt a reason to post except when I read your post. I just wanted to say...

Your dad would forgive you. Before I had my own son, I would've said, 'who knows'. But after having my son, and knowing the crap he does to my stuff, I still forgive and love him.

It's the dad's job to toughen up his son for the world, but even the toughest MOFO nail chewing dad forgives his son (they might never admit it! But like I said, after having my kid, I BELIEVE!).

What I learned from HAMB... basically everything is here, just search. Or use google to search HAMB for you!

  4. That I can do anything.... panel work, wiring, upholstery, anything I set my mind to. My latest "can do" is rebuilding my model A oval speedo.

I've learned that when I have a really funny comeback to some jackdick, the whole thread goes away! Also learned to multitask .. I can be on the hamb. and do nothing else at the same time. Skillz....

Starting this thread taught me it takes 100 posts of tuff love and abusive comments to become a Grenade Inspector. And before starting a thread search more variations on wording of the same topic.

I can't say their is one best thing.. Every post seems to have it's "pearls of wisdom" from someone who has shared their knowledge, or experience.

Maybe that is the "best thing" about the HAMB--all the individuals that take the time to share their knowledge with the rest of us!! I am truly grateful for the HAMB and everyone that contributes, especially enjoy the Friday Art Show!

    • To read the rules and do an intro first.
    • To use the search function.
    • The meaning of traditionalism
    • What it means to be part of a large “family”.
    • That people here truly care about those in need.
    • That there is more info here, than I can absorb.
    • That I’m not as smart as I thought I was at 17.
    • That there are a vast amount of extremely talented people here.
    • That vintage tattoos are not allowed.
    • That I can’t use cookies, as a form of payment.
    • That too many people are using mini-van seats.
    • To hide my laptop before I go to the strip club.:D
    • That what other forums say negative about the H.A.M.B. is a lie.
    • And lastly, some of you can build a hotrod out of this......
