I just finished watching "Hot Rods to Hell". Pretty cool cars in the movie. The old Vette was blowing more smoke as the minutes ticked by.

    Dig it.

Feel free to suggest some other classic hot rod flicks.

  5. Is that the one where the Vette "burns rubber" on the grass? It's been a while since I saw it but that scene made me laugh.

Yeah the tires are squealing while they're spinning up sand. Every time the old man's car stops the steering wheel moves all around. Hilarious.

If I remember the engine sound of the Vette was dubbed in from a Ferrari .

. The Willys Coupe's in Rebel Of The Road AKA Hot Rod If remember there were 3or4 Coupes to make that movie .. Side note, in "More American Graffiti" at the Drag Strip I see 2-3 grey primered Willys I wonder if they were used in both movies both were filmed in 1979

There's also an episode of "Tales from the Crypt" that features a sweet 57 Chevy and a 70 or so chevelle.

    Always loved Mimsy Farmer...

Did she really hang on that roll bar during all those scenes?

Really had a funny scene when that 59 Olds Fiesta wagon goes flying by in the picnic ground scene Dana Andrews and William Mims (the Olds driver) get to talking and Mims offers Andrews a beer. Love it when he (Mims) says: You gotta gas up the car, might as well gas up the driver!

Great film! The cars, the lingo, even the combo (band) at the motel. Love it! Saw it as a kid then finally scored a vhs copy off ebay 10 years ago.

I can't get over the cars. Man they were some sweet, sweet rides. The motel dance scenes were great. When I watch these old movies I always think I was born too late.
