I have friends who aren't all that into hot rods who lurk on the HAMB just for this thread.
I think, in a way, we are all history buffs or we wouldn't play with old cars.

New here, but been lurking a few months since finding this great thread. Love it, like hanging out in an old garage a bit musty with that good old grease smell.

Pasadena CA Noll Packard Car Dealership Building is still there i used to go by it in the late 70,s at that time it sold some real cool hot rods and kustom cars now it is a empty Building all the old signs gone but the building still looks cool

 

Just before "D Day" Not like the over restored planes of today that you see at air shows. Cars are the same way, they were built to make money and people to drive and not built as a "work of art" .

I work less then a mile from the site of the old Clark plant. It along with the Eaton valve plant were both torn down 20 years ago

 

I believe the aircraft tugs made by Clark had Industrial Chrysler Hemis in 'em...

Todd's private plane, Lucky Liz, crashed near Grants, New
Mexico. The plane, a Lockheed Lodestar, was downed by
engine failure while being operated grossly overweight at the
limit of its altitude capability, and the crash killed all four on

One idyllic gas station pic, Gary! Can you or any other HAMBer tell from the GAS PUMPS
about what year this would have been? The cars alone make it look like '35 or 36.
