Nice Merc, is it a real one or a badge swap?

This truck has a really sweet patina on it. Maybe not everyones cup of tea, but definitley airs an old school vibe about it. Love it!

  17. I want a new cup of tea. I hate the patina, but until funds are available its what I got.

Its the real thing... I went to the F100 supernationals a few years back and found a extra tailgate and have it hanging on my wall and I posted it on a site showing it hanging and offers came out of the wood works for me to name my price for guys to make theirs a fake Mercury (I don't go for that)

    That's cool!

I love the Merc trucks, have had many over the years, currently between my brother and I we have a 56 COE, 57 M100, 59 M100 and a 68 M100. It's funny how they are getting desirable now in the US when for years a lot of Americans would act as if they were not worth even scrap value... I have a stack of tailgates and boxes of badges because that stuff is hard to find now.

Yeah. I HATE the term "RARE" because everybody uses it for everything. BUT i am pretty dang far from ya'lls border and its a conversation piece every time I take it out...

Well it's a great example of a Mercury, where was it originally from?

I picked it up about 10 or 12 years ago from A guy who worked at the Louisville truck plant in Louisville Kentucky. Thanks for the coments. It is a VERY pampered truck. Would love to see pix of yours

  27. 2011 Chrysler "Mango Tango" base clear. I put flattner in the clear, used a fast reducer and sprayed it really dry.
I put it in the local World of Wheels show this past weekend where it took first place for Nostalgic pick up.

Mine are ooogly right now, and I'm sure someone will complain because they are not done... but here are the 56 Mercury COE

My brothers 57 will be on the road this summer, it sucks not having a shop...

The 59 we only just picked up, sadly it's only a parts truck as the frame has been torched and had all sorts of crap welded to it.
