Now I don't want to waste Anyones time so for those willing to answer what I'm sure is a very basic question I thank you. I will continue to search this wonderful forum for more info in all of the upcoming projects Ill have. I have a 29 Model A Briggs, the brakes are toast but I also have a set of 47-8 front spindles backing plates & brake drums for it would I be able to use these spindles and use the Complete 5-1/2" Disc Brake Kit For Early Ford from Speedway to convert to disk brakes? Here's the link http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Complete-Disc-Brake-Kit-1937-48-Ford-5-on-5-1-2-BC,1997.html Thanks and hello!
If you run '40-'48 brakes you can get an inexpensive adapter kit (about $25) and use you spindles. Remember is you use the '40-'48 drums you will also need spacer rings for the rims. Charlie Stephens
