Amazing photo! "Life-Guards The Emperor of Austria's Kexholm Regiment.
[L.-Gv. Keksgol'mskii Imperatora Avstriiskago polk.] 3rd Guards Infantry Division,
Warsaw. 1903." Just as amazing, I understand it's only a crop from a much larger
photo! I hope this link works: here. The image came from: www.darkroastedblend.-
    com/2008/11/awesome-military-funny-pics.html.

The mention of Warsaw kind of threw me at first. But I do seem to recall that
Autro-Hungary was a very different animal in those days, boundary-wise. Any help?

Ray Smith (RJSmith) has an excellent page on the "then and now" (OK, "then and 2002") thing for areas shot during the film. http://www.rjsmith.com/bullitt-locations.html Smith also maintains some very nice webpages on 1st/69th Armor in Vietnam and an excellent map section that augments Jim Henthorn's very nicely.

  22. 11echo = armored infantry , Welcome home mister. 13B here!

Steve McQueen's son recently had a "tribute" bullit Mustang done in the modern version Muskie ... I'll try to find the link, interesting.

Though I'm no Yankee fan, Joltin' Joe was to righty hitters what
Ted Williams was to lefties. Both had excellent eyesight and
coordination. But both also had the science of hitting down pat.
Look at the stride, the timing, and the all-important wrist action
to put the barrel of the bat on the ball to make it "jump.";) Unlike
the moody Williams, though, Joe was the darling of his home
    crowd.:D Photo thanks to MyFavoriteLyrics.

Thanks much, back at 'cha. My primary was 11E, but I was assigned 11D (armd. recon) for both of my campaigns. Didn't even know what that was 'til I was one. (Sort of mech. inf./scout/cav all-in-one). We had 11Bravos attached, however.

    Wiki sez:

"An intense police investigation led nowhere until thirteen years after their deaths, when former business partner Michael Frank Goodwin was charged in Orange County, California with the murders.[24] However, that case was overturned on jurisdictional grounds by the California District Court of Appeal. On June 8, 2004, Goodwin was formally charged in Pasadena in Los Angeles County. In October 2006, a Pasadena Superior Court judge ordered Goodwin to stand trial for the murders. On January 4, 2007 a jury found Michael Goodwin guilty of two counts of murder in the death of Mickey Thompson and his wife. Goodwin was sentenced to two consecutive life-without-parole terms for the murders of Thompson and his wife. The judge also denied Goodwin's motion for a new trial."

He grew up in San Diego, graduated from Hoover High School (37?) while playing pro baseball. His head is still "on ice" in a cryro-bank somewhere!

My great great grandfather and his wife
    1893 the year he died
He worked as a pilot guiding big ships in
to the harbours in Tornio -Haparanda-Kalix
From the last island before the open sea
the last pic is from that island. The tower
on the left is the lighthouse the right is
    the church

Sometimes when he guied a ship out from the
harbour the weather was to bad to be able to
go ashore on the smal island so he had go
with the ship to next harbour it was destined for

We have a revolver at home he bouht one time
to protect him self from the rough crew on a ship
he sailed home with from Stockholm when he had
to folow a ship there due to bad wheather
