This was a couple of years ago at the Midsouth Old Econolines get together on Petit Jean Mountian AR. We're there every Laborday weekend. Stop by if you're in the area.

Hey RodStRace that's a real straight looking van you have there, nice  ! What's that flap/door/hatch type thing just in front of the rear wheel on the last picture ?
Hey if I ship my van back over the pond could you shoot some paint on it for me  ! Lol.
Been trying to post a picture but it won't have it so here's a link to my thread on Rods "N" Sods. Cheers Dave.

Radical Dave, it's something a prior owner added. Strange but unique. I have more pics of it over on Vintage-Vans. http://vintage-vans.forumotion.com/t20340-rod-s-az-a-108
Here's a picture from yesterday with the blackout done and the bumpers hung. You wouldn't ask for me to shoot if you saw this up close! It's my first full paint job, and it's got all the issues! I will probably cut and buff later, but for now I'm happy it's all one color!

That is one sweet van. I'd forget about putting on the stock bumpers, and carve up some artistic wooden ones.

Well mate it looks real tidy in the pictures and thanks for the link, I checked out your thread and it's real interesting. I check out Vintage-vans every so often but missed yours so thanks for that.
Seems you guy's have no shortage of donor vehicles for the old stuff over there ?

    Cheers Dave.

Here is a pic of a van I owned in the late 70's. Went everywhere in it, all around BC and down to San Deigo. Good times.

This may already be on this thread in the past, but I just saw this today and wanted to share it. No idea what the motor is, as the engine cover was not open.

Its at the Mopar swap meet this weekend in Indianapolis. I was lucky enough to be able to get this picture while it wasn't surrounded by onlookers!

That's the Mopar Collector's Guide Van. It goes to many shows. I saw it for sale just before they bought it at MATS a couple years back. I hear it's in the paint shop. They are going to have a bit of work with all the 'rust patina' that has happened.
It's also got louvers in the (chopped) roof.

I used to have a '63 Econoline. Always wanted an Enconoline or ( Falcon was the lower line) pickup.

First time I heard Led Zeppelin, an older friend had just got a NEW '68 Dodge van (his Daddy got him a job working at Bell Telephone), Nobody had NEW vehicles back then!
He was the coolest thing around, all white van with blue lace panels, on a rake, with Cragar mags. He had the baddest sound system I had ever heard up to that time, with Huge boxed speakers. "Whole Lotta' Love" in quadrophonic sound! Of course, he also had some Bad Ass weed too!
