1965 Mustang 2dr HT (note plastic insert in fuel cap). One of 490,260 assembled.

Casablanca was filmed in 1942, released early in 1943 (WB:1943).

I would venture to guess that was around 1966 at the earliest since there is a 66 Impala next to the building

    :DALTERNATE CAPTION - "'Officer
Bill' was pissed when the factory
    recalled and removed the optional
    Bendix "Electro-Jector" fuel-injection
unit from the 318 in his new '58
Plymouth patrol car - but somewhat
happy at least, that they had
    replaced it with a 'Fury-V800'
    dual-quad set-up - and now, with it,
he was still just as determined as
ever to show all those 'hoodlum-punk'

    scofflaw
    hot-rodders in their souped-up
Model A's and Deuce roadsters, that
he was still the boss in this town!!!

Man, they had all the gear. My parents had one of those folding tables that went on every picnic and camping trip with us for years. It was heavy and pinched your fingers when setting it up or taking it down, but was really cool when you were using it.

I think you can still buy most of that equipment. Some things just never change, and really don't need to.

Thanks, Empire, for taking my input with class. I wasn't trying to be insulting, and I'm not trying to be a quasi-mod. But, it's a big and popular thread, and we are all sort of "responsible" for its well-being (even improvement). Even more important:cool: than giving a credit-line or info caption is making sure pix are at least 25 to 30 years old ("vintage"), IMO. THANK YOU in advance for your energies -- everybody loves 99 percent of the pix you turn up, which they've said.

AND, you're right: If there ain't no info with a pic, then you can't include it; but under such circumstances, we all have to be all more wary:confused: whether a pic is "vintage" enough or not. E.g., just because the subject is a B&W of a junked '58 Chevy doesn't necessarily mean the photo itself is an old photo. Nobody's perfect, and we all run across pix in our stashes where we just failed to capture the info. All anybody can ask is that we all try to do our best -- provide background when available and keep it vintage (when in doubt, just find something else to post). IMHO, everybody putting forth a little extra effort has already made for at least some positive results.

Thinking out loud, we could probably all help to weed out pix that don't make the cut, for whatever reason, by pointing out the perceived error without quoting/reposting the same photo. Makes it tougher to delete the image when it's repeated two or three times. My 2 pennies-worth.

That was the plant that Henry Ford shocked the industry with the $5 day wages. My, how things have changed!
