Caddyman, how ever do you find anything in that mess of a garage??? Digging the lime, but I may be biased. Slick.
Haven't seen any progress on YOURS either......mine got over 5500 miles this past summer...I USE it...!!! Here's the link to mine: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329070&highlight=the+best+55+caddy+build R-
This thread is great, love the Cads. They have....heft. I feel the need for an impulsive purchase coming on lol
I dunno, but I am quite willing to take it home... Job 1, lop off that 66-67 Impala roof and go back to stock with a couple inches out...
Yeah, what he said. X 2.0 Yeah yeah I know! ...had to build a house for missus Mad-cad,my turn now, busy putting up a full size steel building for my new workshop. If I can get the caddy into my buddies bodyshop here soon it'll be one color for the Moab show in April 2012. Tim
There's a phone number in the window...call 'em...the dealer should have most of that info...at least, the "who" of who owned (or owns) it ... R-
I had to make another trip to Kingman today and the Cad is no longer in the showroom. The business was closed again and a sign on the door said they were only open from Monday to Thursday. Hope it went to someone who can finish it.
Unfortunately I've got to leave my newest acquisition out in the cold while I finish up my Plymouth. I remembered I had a "full size" car cover up in the attic. Full size maybe, Caddy sized NOT!
LOL Gator..."full" size today is certainly NOT what was once full size...I bought a California Car Cover for my '55 and it fits perfectly... R-
I would absolutely love a '58 or '59 convertible even it if were chopped. Right now I've got a 76 Eldorado convertible and 85 Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance, but I'm looking to sell both. I was going to get a '59 custom ute, but the seller seemed to vanish. Also was supposed to get a 56 Coupe Deville, but it got wrecked before I could buy it. There's a 60 coupe and 66 convertible I'm looking into right now. While I do really want fins, there is just something about a Cadillac convertible. <!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- / message -->
i bought a cover for my 62, and it is fits right above both bumpers, and the fins shanked a hole in it... lol
Look what I found in the bottom of my dresser my drawer: My first old car, a 1955 Series 62 Cadillac. This photo is from about 1981 - excuse the hairstyle! Was my daily driver for about two years; this shot was from my company newsletter, the only picture I have. I was later laid off and had to take a job 27 miles away, so I decided to trade it for something more economical: a VW Rabbit... Worst &%$#@-ing mistake of my life!
This thread rules. You guys make me wanna trade my **** off for an old caddy. Anyone got any pictures of a 61? Always been a fan of em. Great lookin cars guys
Hi .. Have been working on this 49 Fleetwood....top chop...made into two door..CHECK MY ALBUMS......Doug
