We were sitting in the living room and we had 2 calls pop up on the caller ID on the tv!!! We normally don't answer if we don't know the name.she said are you gonna get the phone they have called twice within 5 minutes I said no. She was a little up set I would get the phone so she got up and played back the messages. All I heard was 56 Buick so I got up my wife said so now you get up lol.. I call her back and she Said someone told me you like buying old cars!!! I said yes ma'am what do you have? She said I have a 56 Buick special that was my husbands he p***ed away about 8 years ago and I'm getting up in age and it's best for me to part with it. She said we are the second owners we bought the car in 1957 and it has 23,000 original miles on it we only drove it on Sunday's!!! So I asked does it run she said yes sir like a top. She said it stays in the garage so tomorrow I'm going to see it a lunch time I can't wait!!! I will take some pictures no need for getting out the popcorn lol I will post pictures after I look at it
man that is the deal , i hope you can sleep tonight , i know id have wood, but thats another reason to thank the wife , l.o.l.
Ahh man how cool. If I had the money I would buy every old car I saw. Hope its as nice as she says it is and you pick it up.
It's prob. a waste of time, and you don't need that ol' heap of junk. I on the other hand love junk and can be in louisiana in the morning. all kinnding aside, best of luck

Looks that way the stranges thing is this is two cars in the same week I'm still waiting to hear back on the other as they live in Texas!!! Both cars are within 2 miles of my house.I hope this one is decent so I can ****** it up.
here are a few pics after backing it out of her garage it's a pretty solid car it has a little bit of rust on driver side floor not bad!!! I think it just needs some tlc the ole nailhead fired right up, what you guys think should i jump on it?

Man with a good wash and wax that thing would look great. If the price is reasonable I'd say go for it. Reasonable to me would be hmmm.....$5500? Thats just me though, who knows.... Doh! 4500 sounds good to me!!! Get it and clean it up and drive the hell out of it!!
$4500 sounds fair to me as well. What makes it for me is the history of that car, I'm into stuff like that. Buy it. And think about it, it's cheaper than a 10 year old sedan, and this is a REAL car.
